Travel notes of Yaqing Temple
yasi temple is located in White county, Ganzi Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Sichuan province. It belongs to Ma Ning Sect, that is, the red religion.
is a large-scale learning place with the same name as Seda Wuming Buddhist College. Seda, many friends should have heard of it. )
At present, there are more than 2, monks and nuns living in Ya Temple, mainly Juemu (Juemu is a nun). The Chang Qu River is surrounded by an island, which is the largest Jiaomu district in the world. It is an influential temple in Tibetan areas.
I don't believe in Buddhism, but I always yearn for mysterious places.
Although I know the journey to the Asian Youth Games will be very hard, I am determined to go with my friends. At 11 noon on the 4th, after two and a half days of turbulence, we finally arrived at the destination of this trip-Yaqing Temple.
because aunt pea called a few weeks in advance to make a reservation, fortunately, we didn't wait long to check in.
The Yaqing Hotel where we stayed is next to Yaqing Temple. Is the only hotel in the temple, run by outsiders. Yaqing Temple may have water and electricity cuts at any time, but the conditions are still not good.
There is still no bathroom in our room, but fortunately there is a thermos bottle.
I put my luggage aside in a hurry and went out to take a photo. I bought a scallion cake at the door, 5 yuan a piece! It smells good.
After all, Yaqing Temple is not as famous as Seda, but there are many people coming.
There are tourists like us, as well as Buddhist believers and monks from other places.
at one or two in the afternoon, the sunshine is particularly strong.
We got on the prayer wheel, prayed in front of the Buddha statue, watched pilgrims from other places kneel barefoot and kowtow in front of the Buddha statue, passed by the Chang Qu River, walked past the small house made of wood, and watched their faces flushed by the plateau sun
Feel the power of faith.
at four or five o'clock in the afternoon, our group returned to the hotel to have a rest.
I slept for half an hour and got altitude sickness. It's killing me
My head hurts, my heart beats fast, my nose is blocked, I can't breathe well, and I feel like dying. Every time I take a deep breath, I feel my heart jump to my throat.
At six or seven in the evening, my friends are going to watch the sunset. I really can't get up, so I have to lie down and rest.
Here, I would like to remind you that when you go to places above 3 meters above sea level, you must prepare altitude sickness drugs, such as Rhodiola, Gao Yuan 'an and other anti-altitude sickness drugs. It's just that I didn't make these preparations this time, which is particularly painful. Asia Temple is more than 4 meters above sea level!
I lay alone in bed for a long time, and saw the photos sent back by my friends. Master Lotus's body looked amazing in the bright moonlight.
Forced to put on a down jacket and go out, stood under the starry sky and made a wish to Master Hua Lian.
"I don't want to be great in my life. I just want to be loyal to myself, move forward flatly, and the people around me are healthy and safe. "
From rain and snow to sunshine, to the rare moon and stars.
This day seems to have gone through several generations.
Suffering from altitude sickness, I fell asleep and dreamed of returning to Chengdu, as if I had arrived in Beijing and saw some unfamiliar and familiar faces.
At 6 o'clock in the morning on October 5, my friend got up to watch the sunrise, and my altitude sickness worsened.
at p>11 o'clock, we made an appointment with a Tibetan uncle's SUV outside Yaqing Temple. We each paid 5 yuan and went straight back to Chengdu.
The original plan was to take a bus back to Ganzi County on the same day, stay for one night, and take a bus back to Chengdu after 6 am on the 6th, which also saved a lot of time.
At 1: 3 in the evening, Uncle Zang climbed many snow-capped mountains, passed the 317 National Highway and Chengya Expressway, and finally drove us back to Chengdu for 13 hours.
it took us three days to reach our destination, stayed for one day, and then came back in less than one day.
after writing this journey, I feel very tormented.
but after all, I went to the sacred and wonderful place that I have been longing for for for a long time. So, I'm glad you came.
In this life, people often walk many rugged mountain roads. Maybe they didn't reach a very beautiful place in the end, but they experienced hardships they had never experienced.
The full name of Yaqing Temple is Yawuqin Jinchanlin, which is located in Changtai Township, White County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and belongs to Maning religion (red religion). Although the fame of Yaqing Temple is not as wide as that of Seda Wuming Buddhist College, it is actually a large-scale learning place with the same name as Seda Wuming Buddhist College.
Perhaps the most famous business cards of Asian temples are Juemu Island and Juemu. Located in the middle of Zhangtai Prairie, Yasi Temple is built on the grassland wetland surrounded by mountains, with an open terrain and an altitude of about 4 meters. The buildings around the temple are huts where believers live (like Seda Wuming Buddhist College are all red huts). Practitioners have built more than 2, small box houses by themselves. The criss-crossing Chang Qu River surrounds the whole temple complex, forming an island, which is the largest Jiaomu Island in the world.
At present, there are more than 2, monks and nuns (mainly Juemu) living around Ya Temple, which is divided into Zaba and Juemu areas by the river, and Zaba (male monk) area is outside the island. Juemu area covers an area of about .15 square kilometers, surrounded by water on three sides, and has gathered more than 1 thousand Juemu. The men who are allowed to live in Juemu District are only underage boys, and they all follow their sisters or other female relatives to become monks here.
Men are not allowed to enter Juemu Island and can only visit the periphery. The island is intricate, like a maze, with many dead ends (actually it is not an alley, but a small passage for people to walk). People with bad sense of direction can easily get lost and can't get out.
Most practitioners are young, have never been to school, and few can speak Chinese. Young practitioners are incapable of managing their own lives. It is also a test of spiritual practice to give each temple a monthly "Buddhist money" of about 3 yuan (the rest depends on the supply of relatives) and arrange life reasonably.
The rules for practicing in Yaqing Temple are very strict, one of which is "Don't enter the store after dark", so the most lively places every evening are several shops selling vegetables and fruits.
Like Seda Wuming Buddhist College, everything here has to be self-reliant. You have to carry your own water, carry or pull your own gas tank, build or maintain your own house, and hold your own wooden stick when you close the door. However, the most "cruel" may be the 1-day retreat.
Closed for 1 days: On the hillside near Juem Island, there is a hut transformed from a single wooden box and a small lattice on the mahogany roof. This is a closed meditation house (the small "boxes" in the lower right corner of the photo and the white lattice on the red wooden house). Hundred-day Zen is the most important content of Juemu people's one-year practice in AYG. The winter of November is approaching, the outdoor open class of the temple is coming to an end, and the 1-day retreat is coming. Every year after winter, the Juemu people will enter a "matchbox" hut for only one person to live in, and live in seclusion for 1 days in exchange for the joy of practicing Buddhism day and night with extremely difficult living conditions.
Chueh-min locked himself in the practice room just to let himself think quietly. After dusk, Chueh-min can walk out of the practice room and end the day's retreat. After 1 days of seclusion, less than 1% of Juemu can confirm the achievements of A Qiu Lama. Therefore, Juemu, who comes here to practice, has to live for at least three to five years and at most ten years. It was an honor for Juem to be confirmed, and then most of them went back to their hometown temples to become monks.
practice here must be closed, and the coldest three months of the year are closed. Even in such a small house, you can only sit cross-legged, but you can't lie or stand. The cover is also very simple, many of them are made of several boards and wrapped in cloth. I can't imagine how Juemu people survive in the cold winter on the plateau!
the best photography spot on juemu island is the mountain where the statue of lotus peanut is located, just behind the Yaqing Hotel. It's close and not high, so there is no pressure to go up.
The shape of Juemu Island is a kind of natural beauty, picturesque in the mirror. Sunrise is probably the best picture to be photographed, because the opposite side of the shooting point is the east.
however, I missed it because it rained at night.
The street lamps on both sides of Juemu Island along the river are not turned on at night, which leaves a little flaw in the night scene.
Imagine what it would be like if there were two arc-shaped lights on the water and dim lights in the dense mahogany room.
There are two magnificent scenes in the Asian Temple, namely, prayer flags and thousands of people turning around mountains. However, this is only available at certain times.
Asian temples can be said to be the "daughter country" of Buddhism. It is famous for Juemu Island, and the focus of outsiders' attention is also Juemu. Compared with Juemu and Zaba of Seda Wuming Buddhist College, Juemu is equally divided. Here, it is obvious that Chueh-min has the advantage!
From the external phenomena we can observe every day, Seda Wuming Buddhist College is similar to Yaqing Temple (as for its connotation, it is beyond our understanding), but Yaqing Temple is more difficult. For example, it is almost cruel to practice seclusion for 1 days, but Seda does not. Geographically, Yaqing Temple is also more remote (12km from Ganzi County and 12km from White County), with mountain roads along the way.
This is a place where hermits practice. There are not many tourists at present. Perhaps, in a few years, it will become the next "Seda". I hope this pace is getting slower and slower.
