Why is Liupanshui called Du Liang?
The so-called "cool and comfortable" means that Liupanshui has no summer for many years, and spring and autumn are connected. The average monthly temperature in June is 18.3℃, the hottest in July is only 19.8℃, and the average temperature in August is 19.2℃. The extreme maximum temperature in history is only 365438 0.2℃. In Liupanshui, whether at any time in 24 hours a day or in the whole "summer", more than 96% of the time makes people feel cool and comfortable. Among them, July and August are the most comfortable months in Liupanshui, and the human body feels cool and comfortable more than 97% of the time.
The so-called "moist and fresh" means that the monthly average relative humidity from June to August is about 83%, and there is no pain of extreme heat and dryness, and there is no discomfort of humidity and sultry heat; In 2000-2003, the proportion of days with excellent air quality increased from 85.8% to 96.7%, and sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide reached the first-class standard of Ambient Air Quality Standard every year, and the total suspended particles reached the second-class standard of Ambient Air Quality Standard every year. According to the monitoring, from 2007 to 2009, the annual average values of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and PM 10 all reached the first-class standard of Ambient Air Quality Standard. The number of days with good air quality in the whole year is 100%. The average elevation of Liupanshui City is about 1800 meters, with good forest vegetation and fresh air. It has the characteristics of both alpine climate and forest climate, and has a certain climate recuperation function.
The so-called "moderate ultraviolet radiation" means that there is often a high-humidity layer with a thickness of more than 1000 m over Liupanshui, with relatively few sunny days and high ground humidity, so the ultraviolet radiation of Liupanshui is still weak compared with the sub-plateau areas under the same conditions. In the summer of 2004, the instantaneous maximum value of ultraviolet radiation in urban areas was 32 watts/square meter, which was only equivalent to the third level of ultraviolet intensity and was at a medium level.
On August 12, 2005, the Chinese Meteorological Society organized an expert committee composed of 12 senior scholars to make a special demonstration and evaluation on the data of Liupanshui "Du Liang" project. It was considered that the demonstration conducted by the Liupanshui research group from the aspects of atmosphere, meteorology, environmental protection and medical care fully expounded Liupanshui's unique advantages in summer climate resources, with meticulous demonstration, proper methods and scientific and reliable conclusions. After several rounds of questioning and argumentation, the expert committee agreed that Liupanshui's summer climate is "cool and comfortable, moist and fresh, with moderate ultraviolet radiation", which is unique in the same latitude area and can be called "the cool capital of China". At the same time, Liupanshui has held "China Du Liang" every year since 2004, and made great efforts to build the city brand of "China Du Liang". Liupanshui Summer Culture Festival has made people outside the city further experience the comfortable climate of "China Liangdu", and "China Liangdu" has also been highly recognized and widely praised by people from all walks of life inside and outside the city.
Liupanshui City is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guizhou Province. It is located at the junction of Wumengshan and Yunnan-Guizhou provinces in western Guizhou, the watershed between the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the Pearl River, and on both sides of the Nanpanjiang and Beipanjiang river basins. It is rich in mineral resources. With convenient transportation, it is one of the important railway hub cities and logistics distribution centers in southwest China. The city covers an area of 9,965 square kilometers, governs two districts, 1 county-level city and 1 county, with a permanent population of 2.907 million.
Liupanshui is a typical karst landform with the highest elevation of 2845.7 meters and the lowest elevation of 586 meters. It has many scenic spots and natural and cultural landscapes, such as Wumengshan National Geopark, Yushe National Forest Park, Ski Resort, Wild Fish Sea, Nakano Langlang Ancient Nature Reserve, Panxian Dadong Ancient Human Site, Panxian Xinmin ichthyosaur Fossil Group, Tole Ancient Ginkgo, Dadong Bamboo Sea, Slope Grassland, Ale River and so on.
Liupanshui folk dances are widely distributed, with various types, styles and styles. Most of them are life dances, which are carried out by various ethnic groups for the needs of life. They usually include custom dances, religious sacrificial dances, social dances, self-entertainment dances and sports dances.
Liupanshui's food culture has the characteristics of strong regionality, diverse categories, rich cultural connotations, flexible cooking skills, unique production of Yaozhuan, and diverse historical inheritance of regional styles. The main famous snacks are Shuicheng griddle, Shuicheng mutton powder, steamed cake, Langdai sauce, lotus leaf glutinous rice chicken and so on.
Liupanshui is a multi-ethnic community with a large number of ethnic minorities. Six ethnic groups, including Yi, Miao, Buyi, Bai, Hui and Gelao, have lived in harmony with nature in a long history, created and passed on excellent intangible cultural heritage and formed a unique ethnic customs. Four items, such as colorful costume art in Liuzhi Suojia Temple, Buyi Pange in Panxian County, Lusheng Dance of Shuicheng Miao (chicken dance) and Niyi folk songs in Panxian County, were listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list, and 24 items, such as "Old Factory Indigenous Papermaking" in Panxian County, were listed in the provincial list, and 73 items were published in three batches of Liupanshui municipal representative lists and two batches of county-level representative lists.
