The Airplane Hospital in Orbis

Orbis Eye Aircraft Hospital itself is a DC- 10- 10 aircraft. After a lot of transformation, it has become this "winged" hospital. The only mobile teaching hospital in the world, driven by aviation personnel, receives enthusiastic ophthalmologists and sends light to all parts of the world.

After the arrival of the Ophthalmic Aircraft Hospital, local doctors, nurses and staff exchanged medical knowledge with the medical team of Orbis in the operating room, laser treatment room and rehabilitation room of the hospital to improve the technology and level of blindness treatment.

There are 48 seats in the classroom in the front of the plane hospital. When flying, the classroom will be regarded as a cabin; When training, it is used for teaching. 16 cameras were installed in the operating room, laser treatment room, rehabilitation room and classroom respectively. Even in the classroom, trained ophthalmologists can see the situation in the operating room for the first time through these advanced equipment, and can use the two-way video broadcasting system, that is, ask questions to ophthalmologists in the operating room. If the number of people exceeds the upper limit, we can add classrooms outside the meeting plane. Similarly, through the two-way video broadcasting system, students outside the plane can also see the operation process and ask questions.

Before launching the new airport hospital project, the local hospital will select a certain number of cases in advance, and the cases should be related to the training project. After the plane arrived, these cases were screened by Orbis' volunteer ophthalmologist. Priority is given to the following conditions when screening:

The patient is blind.

The patient can't afford the operation.

The case is suitable for teaching.

The local doctor is responsible for taking care of the patients' needs before and after operation. March 2006 to 65438+February.
