The pattern of general Wu's ancient gun

This gun designed by ferdinand verbiest was published on the official map of Qing Dynasty, which is similar to the gun of General Wu Gu displayed in Duanmen West Square. The gun body is thin at the front and thick at the back, and there are eight wide hoops, each of which consists of several thin hoops. The tail of the gun is covered with a cover, such as a jar, with spherical tail beads on it, and two ears on both sides of the middle part are horizontally exposed for mounting on the gun rack. The gun on display in Duanmen West Square is engraved with the inscription "Star is six minutes and three centimeters high", which is different from the "Star is four minutes and nine centimeters high" on the map of the Qing Dynasty canon, except that the "Star" is one minute and four centimeters higher. Secondly, the weight of artillery varies greatly, and the rest are within the scope of literature records. The measured data of the gun are as follows: muzzle inner diameter 15.5cm, muzzle outer diameter 46. 15cm, muzzle bottom diameter 52.87cm, gun length 362cm, bore depth 330cm, and the estimated gun body weight is about 4 tons.
