Opening hours of Wenzhou Museum

Wenzhou Museum is still very big. Wenzhou Museum is open from 9: 00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m. The museum is open to the public free of charge. Wenzhou Museum was built in 1958. The architectural design of the new museum is inspired by the extraordinary peaks and green hills of Yandang Mountain, and pursues magnificent and quaint artistic charm. On the granite wall of the Central Hall, there are nine bronze murals with the theme of China's traditional myths, such as Pangu Tiankai, Goddess Mending the Heaven, Jingwei Reclaiming the Sea, ignoring the fire and Dayu's flood control, to show the profoundness of Chinese civilization.

There are more than 20,000 cultural relics collected and exhibited by Wenzhou Museum. Among these cultural relics, ceramics, colored sculptures, paintings and calligraphy are particularly prominent. The main products are the land purchase certificate of Shi Xue, the wife of Zhu Man in the Eastern Jin Dynasty unearthed in Yishan, the scriptures of the Tang Dynasty unearthed in Jinsha Tower, the colored sculptures of the Northern Song Dynasty unearthed in Baixiang Tower and the celadon of the Northern Song Dynasty unearthed in Xishan.

Wenzhou Museum is set up as five special exhibition halls, including history hall, painting and calligraphy hall, ceramics hall, nature hall and craft hall, and a temporary hall, which enables a large number of cultural treasures to be fully displayed and the connotation of cultural relics to be further explored.
