Chujiao -6 (China code: Haig CJ-6 1, factory code: PT62, English: Nanchang CJ-6) is a propeller primary trainer developed by China. Long-term service in China Air Force and local aviation school, it is the main model of primary trainer of China Air Force. Chujiao -6 trainer is a two-seat single-wing front three-point pneumatic layout. The power plant is a 285 HP piston -6A Star air-cooled 9-cylinder engine equipped with Shuang Ye automatic pitch control propeller. The fuselage, wing and tail stabilizer of Junior Teaching 6 adopt all-metal structure, and only aileron and rudder are covered with metal skeleton. The plane is equipped with a complete set of flight instruments and 34 sets of radio communication and navigation equipment. The first flight of Junior Teaching Unit 6 took place on July 27th, 1958 1962 10, and five prototypes were finalized and produced in October, and then delivered to the army. The -6 trainer used Czechoslovakia AI- 14P Doris -B engine and supporting propeller. The mass production model of this machine was changed to China Piston -6(HS-6) engine with rated power198.5kW.
