Brief introduction of Sun Shimin

Sun Shimin (1942~), a native of Weifang, Shandong. 1964 graduated from Shandong Normal University. He has served as deputy director of the Propaganda Department of Heze State Committee and chairman of Heze Social Science Federation. Former Executive Deputy Minister of Propaganda Department of Heze Municipal Committee, Chairman and Associate Research Fellow of Municipal Social Science Federation. Member of Shandong Social Science Society, director of Shandong Philosophy Society, director of China Calligraphers Association, academic member of Painting and Calligraphy Institute of Overseas Chinese Federation Art Troupe of Ministry of Culture, director of International Calligraphers Association, director and deputy secretary general of China Wang Xizhi Foundation, researcher of China Wang Xizhi Research Association, member of China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, etc. His works have participated in many domestic and foreign painting and calligraphy exhibitions and won many awards. He has successively won the "Huang Xi Cup" China Youth Calligraphy Seal Carving Competition, the "Two Kings Cup" National Calligraphy Seal Carving Competition, the "Four My Cups" National Calligraphy Seal Carving Competition, the Broad Sky Ink Friends Party Painting and Calligraphy Competition, the Prairie Song National Calligraphy Art Photography Competition, the "Xinghua Cup" National Calligraphy Competition Excellence Award and the Golden Cup Award.
