Application skills of slow shutter combined with manual zoom
When you use a relatively slow shutter (115 seconds to a few seconds), press the shutter and immediately turn the focus ring of the lens to get a dynamic impact effect. Of course, the shutter value required to achieve the impact effect in different environments is different, and this aspect is left to everyone to experiment.
When shooting the impact effect, you need to use a slower shutter, so more light will enter the lens. At this time, it is necessary to increase the aperture value (high aperture value = less light entering the aperture). Practicing the impact effect in a well-lit environment may overexpose the photo, but the probability of overexposure in a dimly lit place can be reduced. In the busy downtown, neon lights can be seen everywhere, and it will have a good effect to practice the impact effect shooting against these brilliant lights. ? When shooting, the camera should be steady, and the slow shutter makes the slight hand shake very obvious, and the smooth radiation you expect will become a mess! At this time, the tripod will become your good friend! When there is no tripod, you can put the camera on a stable plane to reduce vibration.
There are two ways of impact:
1. Forward flushing type
Pull the focus ring from the focal length 18mm to 105mm.
2. Radial effect
Pull the focus ring from the focal length 105mm to 18mm. You can see that the residual image in the middle is pulled out of the center point.
You can look at these two original images and compare them with the above two:
The above is an image with a focal length of105 mm.
The above is an image with a focal length of18 mm.
Here are some tips:
Smooth Zoom: If you want smooth radiation, you should avoid turning to inby fast and slow, and practice how to turn to inby at a constant speed. ? Fast and slow? It can actually create another effect. You can stop before or after turning the focus ring, or even rest in the middle of turning 1 sec! At the moment you stop, the exposure time of this focal length image will be longer than other focal lengths, which will be more obvious in the photo. You can go one step further and only put the focal length of about 50mm, so that the middle image can easily become the focus of the picture!
Flash: Flash can also be used when shooting impact effects. The flash will freeze a part of the picture, and the dynamic picture made by rotating the focus ring will surround the frozen part. Some cameras use night vision mode, which also allows you to turn on the flash when exposed for a long time. )
No zoom lens? No problem, you can also play the impact effect! Even if your camera won't let you zoom manually when the shutter is long, you can still have one? A big step forward or backward when the foot zoom shutter is long open can also achieve the impact effect. (This method is easy to shake the camera, resulting in blurred images. More practice can reduce this situation. )
