How to obtain multimedia materials

Multimedia courseware materials can be roughly divided into text, graphics, images, audio (sound), video, animation and other main forms.

Acquisition and processing of text materials

Text materials are usually saved as file text, and the common formats are: txt file, doc file, rtf file, wps file and pdf file.

Files are usually entered by keyboard or manually.

Usually, written materials come from textbooks, websites and so on.

Generally speaking, the text content of a webpage can be directly copied or directly saved as a webpage file or a text file.

Special fonts or wordart can be grabbed by a picture grabbing tool, and then used after pictorialization.

The second is the acquisition and processing of graphics and image materials.

The format of graphic image data is generally:. jpg,。 bmp,。 gif,。 tiff,。 Png and so on. At present, there are many ways to collect graphics and image data, which can be summarized as follows:

1. Screenshot or hard copy of the screen

Using screen capture software, such as HYPERSNAP or Snagit, you can capture anything displayed on the current screen. You can also use ALT+PRINTSCREEN provided by Windows to directly put the picture displayed in the currently active window on the clipboard.

2. Scan input

This is a common image acquisition method. If you want to put some illustrations in teaching materials or other books in multimedia courseware, you can scan them into computer digital image files with a color scanner. For these image files, we should also use Photoshop to adjust some aspects such as color, brightness, contrast, clarity and format size to make up for the defects left by scanning.

Using a digital camera

With the continuous development of digital cameras, digital photography is a widely used image acquisition method in recent years. The images taken by digital cameras are digital images, which are stored in the camera's internal memory chip, and then transmitted to the multimedia computer through the computer's communication interface, and then processed by Photoshop, isee and other software in the computer, and applied to the multimedia software we made. Using this method, digital images of tourist attractions, experimental instruments, people and other physical objects can be made conveniently and quickly, and then inserted into multimedia courseware.

4. Video frame capture

Using video playback software such as Super Street Fighter and kingplayer, the video images displayed on the screen can be captured in a single frame and stored as static graphics. (Link to the screenshot page of Hero Solution) If the computer is equipped with an image acquisition card, we can use it to capture a certain video image and get a digital image. This method is often used to intercept videos from other multimedia courseware and use it in our multimedia software. This method is simple and flexible, but the image quality produced is generally difficult to compare with the scanning quality.

5.cd collection

At present, many companies and publishing houses have produced a large number of classified image material libraries, such as various plant photo libraries, animal photo libraries, office supplies photo libraries and so on. The pictures in the CD have high definition and excellent production, and the same picture is also stored in multiple formats. These CDs can be bought in bookstores and other places. It is a shortcut to select the desired image from the CD in the material library.

6. Online download or online photo gallery

The network provides a variety of very rich resources, especially image resources. For the pictures on the webpage, we can right-click the desired picture and select the Save Picture option in the pop-up menu to download and save the pictures on the webpage in the local machine. For some websites that provide material libraries, they all provide image download tools, so that we can directly download the image materials in the material library to the local machine for use.

7. Use special graphics and image making tools.

For those graphic materials that we really can't get through the above methods, we have to use drawing software to make them. Commonly used are FreeHand, Illustrator, Careldraw, etc. These softwares provide powerful tools for drawing graphics, coloring tools, special effects (filters) and so on. We can use these tools to make the images we need.

Acquisition and processing of audio materials

The audio in courseware is generally background music and effect music, and its formats are mostly WAV, SWA, MIDI, MP3, CD and so on.

Check the audio, first of all, the material CD; The second is the resource pool; The third is online search; The fourth is to obtain from CD and VCD; The fifth is to obtain from the existing tape; The sixth is to get it from the courseware.

There are many methods for audio processing. Here are some practical methods: (1) Edit sound files with the tape recorder that comes with the system; (2) Editing sound files with super audio of super software; (3) Editing sound files with other audio conversion software.

Acquisition and processing of video data

The formats of video materials are generally:. wmv,。 avi,。 mpg,。 rm,。 Flv, etc.

Video materials mainly come from resource libraries, e-books, courseware and videos, VCD and DVD, and video files can also be found online. The video materials in the resource library and e-books can be directly called, and the video files in the courseware are generally placed outside the exe file, and will not be packaged with the exe, or can be directly called. The data in the video can be collected by the acquisition card. Without this equipment, it can be processed in the VCD workshop, and the video data can be converted into MPGE format or AVI format, and then used after burning. VCD can be directly processed by super decoder, but it should be noted that DVD format (MPG4) cannot be directly used in Authorware, and it can only be used normally after MPG4 conversion software is installed.

In short, the collection and processing of materials should use various forms of software. Its software and methods don't have to be used, but should be decided according to the specific situation and environment, so as to achieve the best effect in the most economical and convenient way.
