World cultural heritage-the most beautiful part of the Rhine.

Once, I wanted to go to Ruedesheim, a famous town on the Rhine. Because I had a little knowledge of German and repeated place names, the navigator set the scene in another small town called Ruedesheim on the other side of the Rhine.

After the local people showed us the way, we took the ferry from Bingen to the place we wanted to go, which was the first time we learned about the car ferry on the Rhine River.

Driving the car to the boat is both exciting and fun. In the middle Rhine valley, there is no bridge on the 65-kilometer-long river between Mainz and koblenz, and the traffic is ferried by car. Why? Wouldn't it be more convenient to repair the bridge once and for all?

It turns out that the reason why the bridge was not built in this valley is to protect this valley landscape listed as a world cultural heritage and maintain its original beauty and quaint customs.

In fact, there are many ferry points on both sides of the Rhine, so it is not difficult to drive between the two sides. Besides, I think the bus ferry is very interesting. The fare in car ferry is 3 euros, and the passengers on board are 2.5 euros. Ferry is not just by car, pedestrians can also take this ferry directly to the other side.

The Middle Rhine Valley is a world cultural heritage. The starting point is Ruedesheim, a famous tourist town on the Rhine.

Ruedesheim on the Rhine (hereinafter referred to as Ruedesheim) is a typical tourist city, a small town with only more than 9,600 residents, and its main industries are related to tourism. There are restaurants, inns, souvenir shops and pubs on both sides of the street, and people always come and go in spring, summer and autumn. So is Ruedesheim a "dead city" in winter? Don't worry, the month-long Christmas market in this city is black and pink again before Christmas. After more than ten years of ingenuity, Ruedesheim Christmas Market has become a rising star in German Christmas Market, attracting many overseas tour groups including French, Dutch and British to visit the Christmas Market in Ruedesheim.

On the city symbol of Ruedesheim, there is a string of "grapes"-a famous grape growing area and a famous wine producing area in rheingau. On the sunny hillside behind the town, people began to grow grapes as early as ancient Rome. In the small thrush lane of the town, the unique tavern is noisy, and the walls of the German restaurant are decorated with complex pendants. There are singers singing sad music decades ago, and guests often improvise on the small dance floor, as if time had been fixed in that romantic era many years ago, and everything was full of dreamy flavor. A warm and romantic family hotel may have only 3-5 rooms, but it has a real feeling of home. From the protection scope of the world cultural heritage in the middle part of the Rhine River, we can see the busy scene on the Rhine River. Simple and long cargo ships, white luxury cruise ships, and ferries carrying drivers and cars from both sides to the other side shuttle across the river, so let's take KD luxury cruise ships and experience the real Rhine sailing.

KD Company is the largest cruise company on the Rhine River. If you plan to walk a long distance from Ruedesheim (or Mainz) to koblenz, we suggest you take KD cruise. If time is tight, take a short cruise from Ruedesheim to experience it, or take other routes according to the time.

There are Chinese explanations of various scenic spots on KD cruise ship. However, before we arrived at a stop, we took turns to go into battle from German, English and French, and finally spoke Chinese, so when you heard the explanation, the ship might have sailed for some distance. Therefore, we should pay attention to the beginning of the German explanation, first take pictures to appreciate, and finally listen slowly and appreciate slowly.

Bingen

Take a cruise on the Rhine River. When you buy a ticket, you can buy a destination directly, get off the boat along the way, visit the town and have a look, and then take the company's next boat to move on. After boarding the ship from Ruedesheim Wharf, the first stop is Bingen on the other side. The ship stops here for a short time to pick up tourists from Bingen, and generally does not disembark at this stop. Looking upstream from here, the Rhine River is open and flat, but looking downstream, the banks of the river suddenly become steep, and the scenery on the river surface becomes more and more colorful. This is why the world cultural heritage-the middle Rhine valley starts from here.

Mouse tower

Along the direction of the boat, there stands a small tower in the middle of the river, which people call the Rat Tower. It is said that it was built by Roman Marshal Deluvius in 8 BC and gradually abandoned. By the 10 century, it was rebuilt as a tariff tower by Erzbischof Hatto II, Archbishop of Mainz. It is said that the Archbishop of Mainz, Hato II, was cruel, greedy and extravagant, and collected heavy taxes to accumulate personal financial resources. He has no pity, and describes the crying of starving people as "mouse squeaking". Later, God sent mice to punish him: he forcibly searched the granary where food was stored, and a fire broke out. Groups of mice ran into the archbishop's residence, so the archbishop had to cross the river and escape into the mouse tower. Unexpectedly, the rats chased the Rat Tower and killed the Archbishop alive. This legend is probably exaggerated because people hate the Archbishop. However, in the future, people will call the tariff tower the mouse tower. This is absolutely correct. For ordinary people, these taxes are not just "rats" stealing vegetables! Today's rat tower is no longer taxed, and it is said to be used as a signal tower to guide ships.

Fils Fells in Ahern.

Ahern Fils Castle was built in 12 12. This original military fortification has completed its historical mission in hundreds of years of war and wind and rain. 1689 when the French army attacked Mainz, the castle was destroyed, leaving only such a war-torn ruin, telling the history of separation and integration between the two sides of Mainz.

Assmann Hausen

Assmann Hausen, which enjoys the reputation of "the hometown of red wine", is also a pearl on the Rhine. Here we can disembark for an hour, and then take the cruise ship at the back to move on. In fact, if you don't take a boat, you can also take a cable car to the town from near the Statue of Ned Forest.

The hillside behind the town is covered with grapes and the mountain is steeper. From a distance, you can see the big words Assmannsh written on the hillside between vineyards? User h? Lunberg, this is a famous wine estate. Have an authentic glass of red wine in a bar, Assmannsh? User, it's a pleasure.

This old house with krona on it looks very historic. Sure enough, the voice guide of the cruise ship began to introduce. I didn't expect this hotel to have a history of 450 years! Today, this is the most upscale five-star hotel in Ruedesheim-Asmanskhausen area. If you have time, you might as well experience it, but we only enjoyed its appearance on this trip.

Heinsteinburg

Of course, you can't miss the Rhine Castle on the other side of Asmanskhausen, because it is so magnificent. /kloc-at the beginning of the 0 th century, the Rhine Shicheng Castle was originally the palace of the holy Roman emperor. Later, Otto II gave it to the Archbishop of Mainz as a defensive bunker.

Don't think that rhinestone castle can be immune to hundreds of years of chaotic war. The rhinestone castle we see today was bought and renovated by Prince Friedrich William of Prussia (later unified Germany) in 1825, becoming such a gothic castle. Therefore, it is not surprising that this castle looks very royal! At present, there are many16–17th century armor and art treasures in the castle, which are still private property.

Saint Goar Hausen (Saint Goar Hausen)

An hour on the boat, my eyes can't see enough beautiful scenery on both sides of the strait, and my camera is too busy. After rhinestone castle, it's time to buy a glass of beer on the cruise ship and sit down and enjoy leisure. If you are careful, you will find that not all the banks of the winding Rhine are vineyards. Grapes are only on sunny slopes, and most of the shady slopes are natural forests. During this period, castles and ruins were hidden. There is no modern sculpture here, which perfectly preserves nature and preserves "Yesterday".

When the ship arrives in Saint Gorshosen, the famous song "Lorelei" will be played on the cruise ship, which is an important stop in the middle of the Rhine River trip, and most tourists will disembark here for a period of time. Mainly because of the legend of Lorelei, the river god. A huge rock stands at the corner of the Rhine 555km, which is the famous Lorelei Rock. According to legend, the beautiful river god (Lorelei) always sits on this rock at night and slowly combs her long blonde hair. When the boatman passed by, he could still hear her moving singing. The absent-minded boatman forgot that there were many reefs and dangerous rocks here. Because he failed to escape in time, many ships hit the rocks here and killed people.
