Brief introduction of camera moistureproof box

According to the regulations of the International Camera Industry Association, when the temperature is lower than 10℃ or the humidity is lower than 60%RH, the mold will stop breeding. Precious lenses, cameras, expensive instruments, samples or painstakingly worked things have been destroyed by dampness and mildew. Therefore, using electronic moistureproof box to save valuables is your best choice.

A good electronic drying oven has no fan, no noise, no moisture regain, no frost, no thermal effect, stable dehumidification effect, and can set its own humidity. Prevention is better than cure. Make sure photographic equipment, lenses, telescopes, photos, films, etc. It's worthwhile not to be harmed by mold.

Using a simple sealed plastic box (moisture-proof box) can quickly dehumidify, but it has two major disadvantages:

1. It is easy to forget to replace the desiccant, resulting in the loss of moisture-proof effect. When the absorbed water vapor reaches a certain degree of saturation, it will lose its ability to continue dehumidification. Because it can't absorb and eliminate water in real time, it will become the opposite effect of "moisturizing". If you don't pay attention to the replacement of the drying bag, it will become a "moisturizing box".

2. Some hygroscopic agents contain calcium chloride. When calcium chloride is wetted and hydrolyzed, it will release a small amount of chlorine, which has strong oxidation and is easy to corrode equipment. In addition, pay attention to this desiccant: after a long time, there will be a certain amount of liquid in the container where the desiccant is placed. Be careful not to knock it over, otherwise it will never dry in the camera!
