Honiara

Solomon Islands National Museum has more than 2,000 collections, including works of art, relics, photographs, archaeological excavations, natural history, animal specimens, scientific and technological products, audio-visual materials, posters, outdoor sculptures and so on. There are conference rooms and libraries in the museum, and the most special thing is that there are picnics and barbecues outside the museum for tourists to eat. Guadalcanal island midway island

East Lonnell

East Lonnell Island is located at the southernmost tip of Solomon Islands in the western Pacific Ocean. It is the third island in the south of Lonnell Island. Lonnell Island is 86km long and15km wide. It is the largest coral island in the world, which is made up of corals. The main feature of this island is Lake Tegano, which used to be the lagoon of the atoll.

There are three main types of plants on Lagnell Island: immature forests in karst ridges around the island, tall forests on the island, flora around Lake Tegano and small mangroves around the lake. Most of Lonnell Island is covered with dense forests, with an average height of 20 meters.

Although the natural environment here is extremely harsh and hurricanes often occur, it is still a real natural laboratory for scientific research. Cormorants are frequent visitors to Lake Tegano. Pigeons with pink spots are unique to Lagnell Island and Belona Island. Lagnell Island also has fan-tailed pigeons and shrike.

Coral Sea is the largest marginal sea in the world. Coral Sea is a part of the sea area between Irian Island and Solomon Islands, with an area of 4,794.38+0,000 square kilometers, which is equivalent to half the land area of China. Coral Sea is located in the southwest Pacific Ocean, with an average depth of 2243 meters, and the deepest New Hebri Trench is 9 175 meters.
