Thoughts on Yichang Anti-Japanese War Literature Exhibition

This afternoon, my mother and I went to the city museum to see the "Yichang Anti-Japanese War Photo Literature Exhibition".

In the spacious exhibition hall, precious black-and-white photos are arranged one by one along the wall, accompanied by corresponding words, telling visitors the epic history that really happened in our hometown 70 years ago and the military and civilians fought against the Japanese aggressors together.

Some of these historical documents and pictures show the inhumanity of the Japanese invaders, some show the heroic sacrifices of heroes in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, some show the generosity and selflessness of international friends, some show the misery and helplessness of ordinary people, and some show the determination and strength of the military and civilians to unite as one in the Anti-Japanese War. In these historical texts and pictures, there are Zhang Zizhong, the national hero who died in the bloody battle in Zaoyi, Gao Zhihang, the ace pilot who died in Yichang, and Zhou Zhikai, the air force hero who died in the Changyang air crash. ...

Among them, what impressed me the most was the "Shipai Defence War". After the fall of Nanjing, Chongqing became the wartime capital. The Yangtze River route is the traffic artery in and out of Sichuan and Guizhou, and Yichang is the throat of this artery, which has an extremely important strategic position. 1943 May 12, the Japanese army dispatched 65,438+10,000 troops to Yichang. Our army retreated to Yichang mountain area. On May 28th, the "Shipai Fortress Defence War" started. The Japanese army stormed under the cover of the plane, and our army was determined to win, and soon entered the counterattack and won on June 3. In this battle, the Japanese army suffered more than 58,200 casualties and our army suffered more than 4 1800 casualties. This is the first time that the number of Japanese casualties exceeded our army in a single battle in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, China. Therefore, the Battle of Shipai is also called the Battle of Stalingrad in China.

The name of the hero, the scene of the battle, and a string of casualty data will always be engraved in my heart. The words "don't forget the national humiliation and revitalize China" have also echoed in my heart for a long time. If I hadn't stood in front of historical images, I couldn't believe that this hot land under my feet, where I was born and raised in a lovely home, was once full of corpses, rivers of blood and devastation; If I hadn't stood in front of historical images, I wouldn't have known that high-rise buildings were built on scorched earth razed by Japanese bombs. I wouldn't have known that the beautiful and charming Shipai scenic spot was deafening by artillery fire. I wouldn't have known how many heroes' blood and people's tears were swept away by the rolling Yangtze River, which runs day and night. ...

The short visit is over, but the shock and encouragement it brought me is long-lasting. "Just classmates and teenagers, in the prime of life", we should study hard, make progress every day and work hard to build our hometown and motherland better!
