1. The Grottoes are located 12 kilometers south of Luoyang City. You can take bus No. 81 from Luoyang Railway Station, which takes about 40 minutes.
2. At the entrance of Kaiyuan Avenue, Yongtai Street Take Route 99 south, go through 15 stops, arrive at Longmen Grottoes and walk about 90 meters to the end.
3. Take Route 37 at the Shifudong Street exit of Kaiyuan Avenue, go through 4 stops, and walk about 10 meters to Guanlin Market. Take Route K81 to Guanlin Market, go through 9 stops, and walk to Longmen Grottoes. About 100 meters to the end.
4. Take bus 966 at the Shifudong Street entrance of Kaiyuan Avenue, go through 6 stops, and arrive at the high-speed railway Longmen Station. Walk about 10 meters to the high-speed railway Longmen Station and board the bus station. Take bus 71, go through 9 stops, and arrive at Longmen. Walk about 40 meters from the grotto to the end.
5. Take Route 94 south of the Kaiyuan Avenue exit at Jinchengzhai Street. After 15 stops, you will arrive at the Longmen North Bridge intersection of Longmen Avenue and walk about 650 meters to the end.

(1 ) Qianxi Temple
Qianxi Temple is the first large cave at the northern end of Longmen West Mountain. It is more than nine meters high and nine meters wide, and nearly seven meters deep. It was built in the early Tang Dynasty more than 1,300 years ago. The caisson on the top of the cave is a large lotus with shallow carvings. The main Buddha, Amitabha, is sitting on the Sumeru Platform. He has a plump face and bulging chest. His clothes hang down in front of him. All parts of his body are well-proportioned and his expression is wise. The whole posture gives people a sense of tranquility and kindness. On the left side of the main Buddha is the eldest disciple Kassapa, and on the right side is the junior disciple Ananda. Next to the two disciples are Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva respectively.
(2) Binyang Cave
Binyang Middle Cave is a representative cave in the Northern Wei Dynasty. "Bin Yang" means the sun that welcomes birth. Binyang Three Cave was excavated during the Northern Wei Dynasty. It was built by Emperor Xuanwu of the Northern Wei Dynasty to perform meritorious deeds for his father, Emperor Xiaowen. It was started in AD 500 and lasted 24 years, employing 802,366 people. Later, due to the palace coup and the death of the host Liu Teng, the planned three caves (Binyang Middle Cave, South Cave, and North Cave) were only One of them, the Binyang Middle Cave, was completed. The main statues in the South Cave and the North Cave were not completed until the early Tang Dynasty.
(3) Guyang Cave
Guyang Cave is located in the southern section of Longmen Mountain. It was excavated in 493 AD. It is the earliest excavated among the statues of Longmen Grottoes and has the richest Buddhist content. A cave with the highest calligraphy art. It is magnificent in scale and imposing. The three characters "Guyang Cave" in regular script are engraved on the north wall of the cave. During the Guangxu period of the late Qing Dynasty, Taoism emerged in the Longmen area. Seeing that Guyang Cave had no owner, the Taoist priests could not bear to abandon it, so they changed the statue of Sakyamuni into a statue of Taishang Laojun Daode Tianzun. Because it is said that Laojun once practiced Taoism and made elixirs here, Guyang Cave is also called Laojun Cave.
There are hundreds of large and small Buddhist niches in Guyang Cave, and the carvings and decorations are very gorgeous, especially in the shape of the niches, the designs of the lintels and foreheads, which are colorful and changeable.
