1. Nyonya refers to1the descendants of Daming who settled in Manraja (Malacca), Mambo (Indonesia) and Sri Lanka (Singapore) in the early 5th century. Men are called "Zen" and women are called "Niangjiao". Their culture is influenced to some extent by local Malays or other non-Chinese ethnic groups. The language spoken by chan chan and his mother is called chan chan dialect, not just Fujian dialect.
