When it comes to Wenling culture, it is inevitable to add a "desert" as a suffix. Outsiders look at us, and we look at ourselves. However, there are always oases in the desert. The more arid the place, the more likely it is to produce "backward" strugglers. They are diligent, promote cultural undertakings with their own meager strength, and worry about the spread of culture while doing a good job of themselves. As laymen, we may not understand their persistence and hardships, but we need to remember that they have been moving forward on the road of culture.

Mr. Mao, the chairman of Wenling Calligraphy Association interviewed by the reporter recently, is such a figure.

Be kind to your body.

Talking about the origin of learning calligraphy, Mao kitten looks proud. His grandfather's poetry and books are excellent, and he was selected as a hundred workers with the second place in the province. His father is a teacher, and his calligraphy is famous all over Xinhe. Kittens, who are often accompanied by grandfather's poems and calligraphy, have a soft spot for writing and painting since childhood. Because of his good handwriting, he became the best candidate to publish a blackboard newspaper in the school and a top writer of literature and art outside the society. In this way, others felt good, and they felt good for several years, until they attended the first calligraphy and seal cutting workshop in the province. This workshop touched him greatly. The teachers who taught were all from China Academy of Fine Arts, such as Liu Jiang, Zhang, Zhang, Luo Hengguang, Ma Shixiao and Li Fuyu. His name is famous all over the country. Mao was particularly impressed by Mr. Zhang, who taught postgraduate courses in half a month's teaching. Why is there a big touch? Mao explained: "When you are at home, you feel very good, but after listening to this class, you will know that you have great shortcomings. Only when you know where your shortcomings and strengths are can you make progress. Otherwise, I don't know if I'm going my own way. " So he thinks it is very important to find a master on the road of calligraphy learning. A good teacher will help you get out of the situation of detours and detours, and will guide you to move forward correctly and walk faster.

This seminar was a turning point, which prompted Mao to re-examine his works, thus gaining more room for improvement. Also after the workshop, he was elected as the chairman of Wenling Calligraphy Association. In recent years, his works have often been selected for various national and provincial exhibitions, such as the third national calligraphy exhibition sponsored by China Calligraphers Association, the third national seal cutting art exhibition and the first national hard pen calligraphy exhibition. He has participated in various competitions for many times and won awards, such as the gold medal of the National Mass Painting and Calligraphy Photography Exhibition organized by the Ministry of Culture, the gold medal of the Century Tour of Environmental Protection sponsored by the the State Council Development Research Center, and the gold medal of the China-China Painting and Calligraphy Art Photography Exhibition organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture.

Besides taking part in competitions, Mr. Mao also writes books. He is the most prolific person in Wenling, with books 12, such as ancient and modern couplets on Copybook for calligraphy, poems chanting flowers and pen copybook, pen calligraphy collection, and books 12, such as 300 poems of painting and calligraphy, 300 poems of Tang poetry following me and art design, etc. In recognition of Mao's contribution to cultural undertakings, Taizhou Municipal Government awarded him the Shuguang Award, the highest prize in Taizhou literature and art, and Wenling Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government awarded him the title of "Top Professional and Technical Talent" for three consecutive years.

According to Mao, this year, he is going to prepare a collection of poems-"Poems in Foot Garden", which contains three generations of poems of grandparents and grandchildren, including 12 volume of grandfather, 1 volume of father and three or four hundred poems of his own. It has entered the verification stage and is expected to be published in the second half of the year.

There will be a collection of works and a solo exhibition after the collection of poems.

Preach and teach

In addition to his unremitting pursuit of calligraphy, Mr. Mao also takes it as his responsibility to improve the overall level of Wenling's calligraphy career. He has taught calligraphy for the city university for the aged, and has been teaching his children by himself, starting with how to hold a pen, but his greatest contribution lies in the cultivation of teenagers.

His book association is committed to building a platform for young calligraphy lovers to show and go out and communicate. Mao told reporters that only in this way can young people make progress and others can see their progress. It is reported that the city's calligraphy exhibition has been held 1 1, and there are 6 sketch exhibitions. There are at least five or six calligraphy exhibitions and competitions, large and small, which are rare in Taizhou. In addition, there are 9 members of China Calligraphers Association. This year, it announced three members and 52 provincial members. This year, 2 members have been declared, ranking among the top in Taizhou.

Since the Organization Department of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal New Bureau appointed Mr. Mao as the head of the "Mao Artist Studio" in 2009, he has been more persistent in cultivating outstanding young artists. The five members of the studio, Sun Lianzhong, Li Fangfu, Fang, Jiang and Li Lifu, have made remarkable achievements. Some of their calligraphy works were selected for provincial and municipal calligraphy exhibitions, and some were selected for national exhibitions organized by China Calligraphers Association and won prizes. Last year alone, Li Fangfu was selected for the 13 national exhibition and won 65438+. Jiang was selected for 6 times and got 1 time. In addition, the studio also held two achievement exhibitions, which were appreciated by Ye Haiyan, vice mayor of Taizhou, then secretary of Wenling Municipal Party Committee, and the Organization Department and Propaganda Department of Wenling City.

As a calligraphy research librarian (full professor) in Wenling Cultural Center, a member of China Calligraphers Association, a member of China Hard Pen Calligraphers Association, a member of Zhejiang Artists Association, a director of Zhejiang Calligraphy Research Association, a vice chairman of Taizhou Calligraphers Association, a chairman of Wenling Calligraphers Association, a member of the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 3rd session of Wenling City, Mr. Mao kept practicing his dreams. His efforts became insignificant in his snickering, motioning with his hand, sketching and understatement, and his achievements seemed so relaxed under the reporter's poor handwriting. However, it is a time-consuming and laborious thing to repair books and art, and it depends on the parallel progress of giving lectures, going to the grassroots level and ensuring inheritance. If Wenling is a cultural desert, Mr. Mao's is undoubtedly a clear spring, flowing quietly.
