2020 Shanxi Art Vocational College Admissions Brochure

The predecessor of Shanxi Art Vocational College was Shanxi Art School founded in 1951. It was the first art school in Shanxi. Liqun, the people's artist and famous printmaker, is the first principal. In 1958, it was upgraded to Shanxi Art College (undergraduate), which was the first independent undergraduate art college in Shanxi. After several cancellations and mergers, it was jointly restructured into Shanxi Art Vocational College in 2000, the first higher vocational art college in the country. After nearly 70 years of construction and development, the college is based on cultivating high-quality technical and skilled artistic talents with artistic theoretical level and practical performance experience, and has made great progress in talent training, artistic creation, serving society and other aspects. While continuing to reform education and teaching, the college has established its own performance troupe, the Huajin Dance Troupe, and has an affiliated secondary college. It cooperates with Taiyuan Normal University to run undergraduate courses, forming a multi-level art that focuses on higher vocational education. The talent training system has become a more influential art higher vocational college in the country, and it has successfully applied for a high-quality higher vocational college in Shanxi Province.
