How to take pictures of Shaolin Temple?

Li Tieqiang, member of China Photographers Association: Shaolin Kung Fu has been enriched and improved with the 500-year history of Songshan Shaolin Temple/KLOC-0. From the initial means of defending temple property, it has gradually developed into a cultural expression with complete technology and rich connotation. For Shaolin Kung Fu, before the specific shooting, I mainly did three tasks: first, I interviewed many monks to understand their original intention and personal experience of practicing martial arts; The second is to be familiar with the environment, find inspiration and choose the right shooting location; The third is to learn the images of China Kung Fu from photographers at home and abroad, hoping to produce some different effects. Before each shooting, I will read the books about Kung Fu carefully to understand its types, characteristics or movements. I try to express Shaolin Kung Fu by combining realism with freehand brushwork. In my opinion, Shaolin kungfu is both internal and external. Therefore, in the photos I took, there are not only the difficult instantaneous movements of classic kung fu, but also the pictures of monks quietly cultivating their hearts. As the saying goes, "Quiet as a virgin, moving as a rabbit."
