Edward Weston's classic exhibition.

The work Green Pepper is like a human body, a clenched fist. This work, he thinks, is the crystallization of his twenty years' sweat.

The exhibition of original works by Edward Weston, the 20th century photographer, was held in Yingtian International Art Museum, Chaoyang District, Beijing from April 18 to June 18, 2006. This is the first exhibition of Edward Weston's classic original works in China. This exhibition brings together the most representative works of Edward Weston's life, including the early portrait Tina's Naked, Green Pepper at the peak of his artistic achievement, Nautilus, Kelly's Naked, Trunk, Rock and The Coast in his later years, and the creation time spans nearly half a century. Edward Weston used 8× 10 inch large format camera all his life. His black and white works are rich and delicate in color and profound in artistic conception, which is a model of visual art in the 20th century. Ansel adams, a famous American photographer, is Weston's closest film friend. Commenting on Weston's contribution to photography, he wrote: "To tell the truth, Weston is one of the few most creative artists in modern times. He reappeared the true colors of nature, and he showed the power of nature. He described the most basic harmony and unity in the world with meaningful images. Humans are constantly exploring and seeking the most perfect spiritual realm, and Weston's works illuminate this road. " His junior colleague Oest Haas realized from his photos that "there is poetry in photography". The reason why Weston's works can give people an extraordinary feeling is related to his spiritual realm. Weston's life does not seek fame and fortune, but tries to simplify his life.
