What effect does LED light have on plants?
1. Different wavelengths of light have different effects on plant photosynthesis. The wavelength of light required for plant photosynthesis is about 400-700 nanometers. Light of 400-500nm (blue) and 6 10-720nm (red) contributed the most to photosynthesis.
2. Blue (470 nm) and red (630 nm) LEDs can just provide the light needed by plants. Therefore, the ideal choice for LED plant lights is to use the combination of these two colors. Visually, the red and blue combination of plant lights is pink.
3. Blue light can promote the growth of green leaves; Red light helps to blossom and bear fruit and prolong the flowering period.
4. Generally, the ratio of red and blue LEDs of LED plant lights is between 4: 1-9: 1, and 4: 7: 1 is usually optional.
5. When lighting plants with plant lamps, the height from the leaves is generally about 0.5 meters, and continuous irradiation of 12- 16 hours every day can completely replace sunlight.
Proportional colored lights can make strawberries and tomatoes sweeter and more nutritious. Illuminating holly seedlings with light is to imitate the photosynthesis of plants outdoors. Photosynthesis refers to the process that green plants use light energy through chloroplasts to convert carbon dioxide and water into organic substances that store energy and release oxygen. Sunlight is composed of different colors of light, and different colors of light will have different effects on the growth of plants.
LED light source, also known as semiconductor light source, has a narrow wavelength and can control the color of light. Using it alone to irradiate plants can improve plant varieties.
After the experiment, the seedlings of Ilex pubescens grew the highest under the purple light, but the leaves were shallow and looked malnourished. The seedlings in yellowish light are not only short, but also the leaves look lifeless. Holly growing under the mixed light of red and blue is the best, not only strong, but also has a well-developed root system. The red bulb and blue bulb of this LED light source are configured according to the ratio of 9: 1.
The results showed that the red and blue light of 9: 1 was the most favorable for plant growth. After strawberry and tomato are irradiated by this light source, the fruits are full, the contents of sugar and vitamin C are obviously increased, and there will be no hollow phenomenon. After continuous irradiation 12- 16 hours every day, the taste of strawberries and tomatoes grown under this light source will be better than that of ordinary greenhouse fruits.
LED plant growth lights can also be used to supplement light sources for plants in rainy weather in winter.
