Canon's Budweiser and 16-35, which one would you choose?

Budweiser and 16-35 lenses are not the same focal length at all, and the subjects are completely different. How to choose them depends entirely on the needs of photographers.

Budweiser is a macro lens for taking portraits at the same time because the focal length is suitable for taking portraits, but most people buy it for taking pictures of flowers, plants, insects, small animals, jewelry and other subjects. If you shoot a lot of macro, it is recommended to start with one hundred macro. If most portraits recommend starting at 85, having a larger aperture is a sharp weapon for taking portraits. Less people use Budweiser. After all, it is a professional lens.

16-35 is a wide-angle lens. If you are shooting landscapes and people, it is suggested that 16-35, 16 can shoot landscapes, 35 can shoot people like human environment and so on. 16-35 is more suitable for daily use and has more usage scenarios.

Both shots are good. If there is a lack of wide-angle focal length and portrait lens, I will choose 16-35, plus 85 mm1.8; ; I don't even consider 100 macro unless I have professional requirements for macro shooting.

Canon's Budweiser and 16-35, which one would you choose?

My current situation is that I have a lens of 16-35mm f 2.8, and I am ready for the next step.

Because I don't really need macro shooting, and I still have 85 sets of 70-200mm f 2, 8 lenses to shoot outdoor portraits; But there is no wide-angle lens to shoot the scenery, so let's start with 16-35.

First of all, from a practical point of view:

16-35mm lens is the first choice for taking portraits of scenery, humanities and environment. Budweiser is good at micro-landscape shooting, and of course, shooting portraits is also a great lens.

In terms of practicality, 16-35mm has the upper hand.

Second, from a professional point of view:

16-35 is a zoom lens and 100mm (100 mm) is a fixed-focus lens, which is a professional lens for macro shooting. The overall quality of fixed-focus lens is higher than that of zoom lens. If you happen to have professional requirements for micro-landscape, you must start with micro-vision.

Many friends will ask, what is the effect of taking portraits with Budweiser? I want to take care of portrait and micro-landscape shooting.

The answer is definitely yes. The effect of portrait shooting can be seen in 85 or 135. The focal length of 100mm is suitable for outdoor portrait shooting, but it is dwarfed when it is used indoors or in the environment.

Finally, compare with each other. Everyone should understand that Budweiser is a high-quality niche and professional lens. If you have professional needs, you must start; If there is no professional demand, 16-35mm is more practical and reasonable.

Different usage, macro 180 is better.

It depends on what your topic is. Budweiser is a fixed focus lens, and 16-35 is a zoom lens. Budweiser will shoot more delicately and the effect will be better. 16-35 zoom head is poor. The zoom lens is more suitable for rapid composition shooting because it can zoom. Generally speaking, the zoom head is the first choice.

I need both. But if you can only buy one lens, of course, buy 16-35 first.

16-35 can shoot both wide-angle scenery and environmental portraits; Budweiser, on the other hand, mainly takes macro shots, and can also make guest portraits, but the effect is not as good as 85 1.4, not to mention 1.2.

Finally 100 micron film

This was taken by Bai Wei. If you are interested in this kind of photography, choose Budweiser.

If there are many macro shots and portraits, I might choose Budweiser. If I sweep the streets to shoot documentaries and landscapes, I will choose 16-35. If I had to choose one, I would choose 16-35 instead of Budweiser. Because I have less macro now.
