Briefly describe the geographical location and topographical features of Hainan Island.

Hainan Island is located at the southernmost tip of China, facing Guangdong across Qiongzhou Strait in the north and the vast South China Sea in the south. Located in the tropics, east longitude10837'-105', north latitude 18 10'-20. Hainan Island is shaped like an oval Sydney, running from northeast to southwest, with a total area of 33,900 square kilometers (excluding satellite island). It is the second largest island in China after Taiwan Province Island.

Hainan Island is flat around and high in the middle, with Wuzhishan and Ying Ge Ridge as the uplift core and gradually descending to the periphery. Mountains, hills, terraces and plains form a circular layered landform with obvious cascade structure.

Extended data:

In spatial distribution, the geological structure of Hainan Island has formed a main structural system with various directions, tracks and properties, such as east-west, north-south, northeast and northwest, which has become the main structural pattern of the land and controlled the recent island-land sedimentary construction, magmatic activity, mineralization and the distribution of mountains and rivers.

The deep geological structure of Hainan Island is a depression area under the background of mantle uplift. The center of mantle depression is from Qiongzhong to Ledong, and the depth of mantle depression is more than 30 kilometers. Due to the differences in crustal structure and deep structure, the island has many different characteristics in geological structure, sedimentary formation and magmatic activity.

There are igneous rocks (magmatic rocks), watery rocks (sedimentary rocks) and metamorphic rocks in Hainan, all of which are distributed in the whole province.

The coastline is distributed in:

Let's talk about beaches and reefs first. They are distributed on most coastlines of Hainan Island, especially Danzhou, which is nearly 300 kilometers long from Lingao to Danzhou. There is no beach, it is basically a beach.

So a good beach is on the coastline. As I mentioned earlier, there are no more than 20 high-quality beaches in Hainan Island, such as Sanya's famous Sanya Bay, Yalong Bay and Dadonghai, and further north like Haitang Bay and Qingshui Bay. Shimei Bay in Wanning; Boao Yudai Bay; Gaolongwan and Moon Bay in Wenchang; Lingao's Lingao angle.

There are also Baishamen in Haikou, Qiziwan in Changjiang, and some beaches with good sand quality. Other beaches in Hainan Island can be said to be average, and the quality is not too high.

Ethnic customs: Hainan residents are Han, Li, Miao, Hui, Tibetan, Yi, Zhuang, Manchu, Dong, Yao, Bai, Dai, Wa, She, Shui, Jing, Tu, Mongolian, Buyi, Korean, Tujia, Hani and Wa.

There are Li, Miao, Hui and Han nationalities living in the world. For thousands of years, the primitive and unique ethnic customs have made the island's social outlook more colorful. Among them, the most distinctive is the living customs of Li and Miao nationalities.

Miao custom: On March 3rd every year, Miao compatriots, like Li people, dress up to celebrate the festival. Families also cook five-color rice (also a special food of Hainan Miao people) to commemorate the five surnames of Miao ancestors.

Five-color rice is a special delicacy that Miao people dip Shan Lan rice into black, red, green and yellow with mulberry leaves, cook it with white rice and then mix it. Miao women's batik skills are very high, and they can dye all kinds of exquisite patterns and flowers and birds' dresses, handkerchiefs and towels, so Miao women's headdress is a fine work of art.
