Designed according to the standards of large-scale first-class stadiums in China, it can hold national and international individual competitions. There is a 400-meter circular runway, a standard football field and various track and field venues.

The swimming pool has a total construction area of about 43,600 square meters and 4,000 seats. There are standard diving pool, ten-lane standard competition pool and six-lane warm-up pool in the venue, which can undertake the training and competition tasks of international swimming, diving and synchronized swimming. At present, the Ordos Municipal Party Committee and the government have regarded Ordos Sports Center as the No.1 livelihood project, with high standard design and high quality construction, and strive to make it a landmark building and a quality project to display the image of our city, and become a new comprehensive sports, cultural and commercial center in the central city. It is planned to be put into use at the end of 20 14, and the construction standard is a large-scale first-class sports complex.
