Speaking of Shaxian County, Fujian Province, many people may not really know the geographical location, but snacks have made this small county town famous.

There is not much information about the origin of Shaxian snacks. Before the release of 1997, Shaxian snacks had no good reputation in the food culture of China or Fujian.

However, there is no doubt about the relationship between Shaxian snacks and Shaxian history.

During the reign of Yixi in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (405), Jianxian County in Shaxian County was called Shacun County. At that time, the north was in troubled times when you sang and I appeared. The rulers fought hard, but it was the people who suffered. Wars and disputes forced the aristocratic families living in the Central Plains to pack their bags and flee to the Eastern Jin regime in the south, where the situation was relatively stable. Some of them entered Fujian along the ancient road and settled near Shaxian County.

Shaxi, which is adjacent to the county seat, is the largest tributary of Minjiang River. Shaxi River winds from upstream to downstream, and the beach is covered with rapids. In Shaxian area, the river suddenly opens and the water potential is gentle, which is called "ten-mile advection".

Nanping goes southwest along Shaxi and reaches Shaxian County.

In ancient Fujian, mountains were the main obstacle for people to travel, and places near rivers were often easy to develop into towns. The river near Shaxian is wide and the water flows smoothly, which soon becomes a place for businessmen and immigrants to settle down.

Between people coming and going, Shaxian has gradually become an important commodity turnover place in central Fujian, and it is also the first choice for people in the Central Plains who have settled in the south. People in the Central Plains fled to the south, but they also brought the food they missed. The new practice is combined with the local products of Shaxian County, and quietly breeds its own snack characteristics among the mountains.

So young people in Shaxian packed their bags and started snacks in their hometowns in Fuzhou and Xiamen.
