How to change the background color of a photo?

There are many ways to modify the background color of photos. I am used to using snapseed on my mobile phone to modify pictures.

The basic method to change the background color of a photo is to first modify the color of the photo as a whole, then use the mask tool to select part of the photo, and cut out the main part without participating in the color adjustment layer. This will only change the background color. .

So based on the above method, we use snapseed to demonstrate an example. You can take a look at the effect first.

The background color of the original image

is gray. I changed the background to different colors by editing the image.

There are many tools for changing the color of photos in snapseed. This time we use the white balance tool to modify the tone of the photo.

First put the original image into snapseed.

Click the tool button below to display the tool menu, select the white balance tool in the menu and enter.

Click the settings button below in the white balance tool.

Swipe up and down in the pop-up column

Swipe the screen to select the adjustment item, and slide left or right to adjust the value of the item. We set the two items of color temperature and coloring respectively, and modify the photo tone to one color.

After completing the settings, click √ to save the steps.

The current state is to adjust the tone of the entire picture. We don’t need the dog in the photo to change color, so we need to use a layer mask to change the color of the photo and make a local selection. First click on the layer in the upper right corner, and click to view modifications to find the white balance layer we just operated.

Select the Mask Tool in the White Balance Layer step.

Enter the mask state and use your fingers to smear the selection on the background. You can apply it to a wider area first

and then dig in more carefully after a while.

When applying, pay attention to the white balance value below to be 100. Then use your finger to enlarge the picture, change the white balance value to 0, and carefully erase the overpainted areas.

After completion, check to see if the selection is complete.

If there are no problems, return to the home page and click Export.

Finally save the picture, so that you can find the finished picture after changing the background color in the phone photo directory.

If you still need to change the background to another color, do not exit snapseed, continue to click on the layer and find the white balance layer.

This time there is no need to cut out the image, just set the white balance directly.

Modify the color.

Save again.

You will directly get the finished piece in another color.

Using the same method, you can continue to modify the color to get backgrounds of other colors.

Do not exit the software until the requirements are completed.

If the above methods are helpful to you, please like and follow.
