The GPS-CS1 adapter can communicate with the satellite positioning system, refresh the data in real time, and record the positioning and time data during shooting in the built-in memory. The GPS-CS1 adapter also has long-lasting battery life, capable of operating continuously for 14 hours (data based on Sony Ni-MH rechargeable batteries). Its internal memory is enough to store up to a month's worth of data (based on a 12-hour day).
GPS Image Tracker software uses time as a basis to add GPS logs in Exif. format* to photos/videos that have been uploaded and stored on a Windows operating system computer.
The revolutionary Picture Motion Browser can be connected to Google Maps** (provided by Google Maps) to further display the photo/video shooting location on the map (Google Maps sometimes cannot provide the required map) information). On the Picture Motion Browser, photos/videos with GPS logs are displayed with a "compass icon". The browser supports two browsing methods: "Date Browsing" and "Map Browsing", which display the shooting time and settings of photos/videos as well as shooting positioning data. In the "map browsing" mode, if multiple photos/videos were taken at the same location, the Picture Motion Browser will automatically display the first photo/video taken and provide corresponding options for the user to browse other photos/videos. Different sets of photos/videos displayed simultaneously on the map can be stored under different file names for easy reading and operation.
