The Life of the Characters in Shi Zhongqin's Works

1972 is a crucial year to determine the fate of Shi Zhongqin.

This year, the ballet film "White-haired Girl" shot by Shanghai Film Studio began to be shown repeatedly on a large scale throughout the country. Shi Zhongqin's name, together with White-haired Girl, was firmly remembered by hundreds of millions of China audiences. For many people, this memory continues to this day. Shi Zhongqin is a white-haired girl, and the white-haired girl is Shi Zhongqin.

This year, Shi Zhongqin also became a participant and witness of the famous "ballet diplomacy" in the historical process of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. She performed the ballet "White-haired Girl" with Shanghai Ballet in Tokyo, which was a great success. "The ice that once existed in the relationship between the two countries began to melt under the graceful dance steps of Shi Zhongqin".

From 1945 to 1972, several versions of The White-haired Girl appeared in China, including opera version, feature film version, Peking Opera version and ballet version. There are also many versions of white-haired actresses, and even one role corresponds to multiple roles at the same time. Because "The Story of the Stone" and "The White-haired Girl" belong to one of the famous "eight model operas", they were shown in China for tens of thousands of times during the Cultural Revolution. From an ordinary dancer to the most famous White-haired Girl, Shi Zhongqin claimed to be "very lucky", which is true.

65438-0965, Shi Zhongqin, the same age as The White-haired Girl, studied at Shanghai Dance School and participated in the ballet The White-haired Girl created by our school.

In that "revolutionary era", whether an actor can become the protagonist depends first on the family composition. Therefore, although Shi Zhongqin is beautiful and outstanding in dancing, because he comes from a bourgeois family, his roots are not straight and his seedlings are not red, so he can only walk on the stage and dance some mass dramas, such as jumping the red tassel gun.

Shi Zhongqin's opportunity is accidental, but it is closely related to the historical background of the times. At that time, it was a political fashion for the literary and art circles to rehearse, adapt or edit modern plays. Dance schools in Beijing are putting red female soldiers on the ballet stage, and Shanghai can't lag behind others. So I planned to rehearse the ballet version of White-haired Girl, and made a "fine processing" of White-haired Girl according to the creative principle that literature and art serve politics, such as listening to the opinions of dock workers, and specially designed Yang Bailao to take over the pole three times in the form of dance. For example, the "four changes" of the stage image of the white-haired girl were designed. As the years passed, my hair turned gray.

As a result, Shi Zhongqin was chosen as one of the four changes and appeared on the stage alone for "more than one minute".

Later, Zhou Enlai and Rola Chen spoke highly of the "four changes" after watching the newly rehearsed ballet version of White-haired Girl. Premier Zhou said with a smile, "Shanghai is lovely and creative." Rola Chen said: "Ballet, backup singer and four changes of white-haired girl are all creative. I think it will be famous in the world after three or four sessions of processing! "

After the performance of "Four Changes", with solo dance, Shi Zhongqin has more and more performance opportunities. After the Cultural Revolution began, Gu Xiamei, the first star of the white-haired girl (A-corner), didn't want to dance any more because of physical reasons, while Yu Qingyun, B-corner, danced many times alone because of her busy work, so she had to focus on Shi Zhongqin, whose family was poor. Shi Zhongqin later recalled: "1969, I was still performing in the Canton Fair and had a rest in my room in the afternoon. For me, it is now given to me by the rebels. "

This jump changed Shi Zhongqin's "all fate" from then on, and Shi Zhongqin became a "white-haired girl" from then on.

In fact, the ballet "White-haired Girl" caused a national sensation after its premiere in the 6th Shanghai Spring on 1965, and was appreciated by Zhou Enlai and Rola Chen. Since then, Zhou Enlai has watched 16 performances of the play.

On the evening of April 24th, 1967, Jiang Qing accompanied President Mao Zedong to watch the ballet White-haired Girl for the first time. After the performance, Chairman Mao gave four words of praise: "Good white-haired girl."

Just four words of praise, so that every creative staff of the crew are excited; It is also because of this sentence that Jiang Qing put "White-haired Girl" together with seven other modern dramas she chose and included it in the first batch of so-called "eight model operas". After repeated rehearsals, performances and changes in Japan and North Korea, as well as foreign guests' visits to the Guangzhou International Foreign Trade Fair in spring and autumn every year and performances in many festivals, the performance level of the white-haired girl has reached the level of perfection. At this time, Jiang Qing ordered it to be made into a film to "highlight achievements" and "expand achievements".

So, 1970, Shi Zhongqin, who is already a "teacher elder sister" actor, took the young actor Mao Huifang and put "White-haired Girl" and "Xi 'er" into the movie. The play was made into 1 1 black and white TV screen copy by Shanghai TV Station and Shanghai Film Studio before 1970. The following year, directed by Sang Hu, a famous film director of Shanghai Film Studio, the play was made into a stage art film and spread all over the world.

During the Cultural Revolution, the ballet "White-haired Girl" was an important "political achievement" of Jiang Qing, which made it a key program in the annual "Speech at Yan 'an Forum on Literature and Art". However, if these political factors are separated, the White-haired Girl also has many noteworthy places in art, which can be seen from its artistic vitality after the Cultural Revolution. It is said that the ballet art film "The Mountain Girl" filmed in Romania later completely followed the style and style of the opening treatment of "The White-haired Girl". Like all the stars of "model operas" in those days, Shi Zhongqin's life has been greatly improved because of "White-haired Girl". She has a special "plate suit", "like a military uniform, but without a collar and epaulettes" and a "scooter" to pick up and drop off performances. At the beginning, that kind of car was basically used to receive foreign guests in Shanghai. She also had "food expenses" and a monthly nutritional allowance of 12 yuan. At that time, her salary was only 34 yuan. She also received many letters from the masses-including courtship letters of course. However, at that time, Shi Zhongqin completely ignored talking about marriage and was not allowed to talk about marriage. In the troupe, actors need special permission to get married before the age of 32.

1978, Shi Zhongqin reached the peak of her brilliant life and was elected as a member of the fifth NPC Standing Committee.

Shi Zhongqin got married in 1970s, and many years later, she gave birth to a child. Her husband is a photographer in Shanghai Film Studio. After giving birth to the baby, Shi Zhongqin returned to the stage and performed such famous plays as Swan Lake and Thunderstorm. She didn't finish her career as an actress until she was 40. After retirement, Shi Zhongqin worked as a teacher in a private ballet school (Yaxin Art).

(Note: Matsuyama Ballet of Japan put a white-haired girl on the ballet stage for the first time in the world. On February 1955 and 12, the ballet White-haired Girl premiered at Hibiya Hall in Tokyo. )
