In late spring and early summer, wisteria flowers are fragrant and refreshing. Bai Juyi has poems praising this plant, and the Japanese worship wisteria very much. Every year, people from Fujioka come to Jiangyin to see wisteria. It's late autumn now, and the beautiful wisteria has drifted away with the wind, leaving lush branches and leaves. Sun Yat-sen visited Jiangyin after taking office as the interim president of the Republic of China. In his speech at the welcome meeting in Jiangyin, Sun Yat-sen drew a blueprint for Jiangyin's development, advocated "calling for national civilization and starting from Jiangyin" and called on Jiangyin people to build roads, so as to develop.
