Where is the east of Datong Lake?

Datong Lake East is located in Yunzhou District, Datong City, Shanxi Province.

Hudong refers to the east of Wenying Lake. Originally, Tongmei shantytown was planned to be built near Wenying Lake. Later, the plan was revised and rebuilt to the present place. However, people are still used to calling it Wenying Lake, and not many people call it this way in Jingxing New District after its name change.

Famous scenic spots in Datong:

1. Soil forest: It is a unique landform eroded by flowing water. It is magnificent and ingenious, showing the desolate and solemn beauty of the Loess Plateau, and is an ideal material for photographers. 2. Datong Volcano Group is located in Yunzhou District, 28 kilometers east of Datong, a famous historical and cultural city in China. It is the general name of Quaternary magmatism and volcanic landforms in Datong volcanic fault basin. Now it is the National Geopark, and Datong Volcano Group National Geopark is the only volcano group in the world, which is an extinct volcano.

3. Lujia Courtyard is located in Luo Ying Village, Duzhuang Township, Yunzhou District. The mansion was built in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, and more than 100 houses have been preserved so far. Despite a hundred years of wind and rain, the tall gatehouse, exquisite lintel decoration and ingenious brick carving can still show its architectural style and taste, which is a rare boutique in the residential courtyard of our city. The builders of Lujialou were Lu Tang, a minister in the late Qing Dynasty, and his son Lv Chunsheng.

4. Xicetian Site (the fifth batch of provincial insurance) Time: Northern Wei Address: About 2500m northwest of Xicetian Village, Bao Xu Township, Yunzhou District, Datong City. The site is located on a flat gentle slope with slightly higher terrain, and the terrain in and around the site is dominated by vegetation.
