The Seoul University of the Arts is the only comprehensive higher art institution in South Korea. Its predecessor was the Korean Drama Training affiliated to the Korean Drama Research Institute founded in 1962 by the famous Korean playwright, performer and educator Mr. Donglang Ryu Chi-jin. Academy. In 1964, the Korea Drama Training Institute was abolished and the Seoul Drama School (a two-year junior college) was established.
