Reed Flute Cave is located on the south side of Maomaotou Mountain on the right bank of the Taohua River in the northwest of Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, a famous tourist city. It is one of the most famous tourist caves in my country. Reed Flute Cave was often visited by wild cats and small animals, so it was called Wild Cat Cave. Later, people changed the name of the cave to Reed Flute Cave because of the reed grass growing near the entrance of the cave. The place where wild beasts roamed in the past has now become a paradise on earth, known as the underground palace of art.
The scenic spots in the cave, from the cave door to the inside, the first scene is the morning glow in the lion forest. The towering ancient forest, mainly composed of stone pillars and stalagmites, shows the scenery of mountains and forests with stacked peaks and mountains. In the distance, the clouds and sky were the same color, and there was a touch of morning glow in the dark sky. The red light shot out in all directions, showing that the morning sun had burst out. Stone pillars stand in the shade, and under them there are stalagmites shaped like male lions and young lions. They are also waking up from their dreams, facing the morning sun, playing, jumping, leaping, and rolling, which looks very special. Vitality and aura. There is water dripping from the top of the cave, making a ticking sound, just like the sound of a woodpecker pecking at tree insects, which adds to the vitality of the forest.
Not far ahead, you can see the winter snow scene. Silvery white calcium carbonate is scattered on the branches and leaves of a green pine, forming a picture of snow pressing on the green pine. The silver light on the branches and leaves is shining continuously; the green pines stand proudly and gracefully. Next to it is a mountain full of snowy scenery, which looks like a snowman, like a grassland with snow-capped mountains. The snowy fields are vast and the earth is covered with silver light. After admiring the winter scenery, you will suddenly see the spring and summer scenery. You can see the garden full of melons and fruits, hanging on the branches and treetops, showing a farmhouse pastoral scenery. Then there is a beautiful jade mountain formed by precious Ganoderma lucidum, ginseng, etc., with a spiritual road extending straight forward. There are calcite crystals on it, which are bright and colorful. Next to it is a Coiling Dragon Pagoda. The tower is not high, but it has a carved dragon coiling around its body. The dragon's head opens its mouth to swallow clouds and spray, and its claws are stretched out to catch tourists.
The Reed Flute Cave is a must-stop for all travel itineraries. Its name comes from the reed flute rock that grows outward and is used to make flutes. In caves eroded by water, stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations formed from carbonate sediments can be seen everywhere. Using colored lights, the 240-meter cave is transformed into a very bizarre landscape. Walking between different stone pillars, visitors enjoy the ever-changing landscape and feel as if they were born in heaven where God lives.
