Where is the statue of Yao Maoshu?

Yao Maoshu, a native of Leshan, was born in April 1950. I loved sports since I was a child and insisted on amateur physical exercise for a long time. When I was an audio-visual photographer at Southwest Jiaotong University, I made up my mind to break the blank that "the Yangtze River has never drifted" after inspecting the mountains, rivers and customs along the Yangtze River. From1August 1982 to1February 1985, he took a rubber boat at his own expense and tried to drift in Jinsha River three times. 1June 985 12 American explorer Kan Warren planted a five-star red flag and the school flag of "Yao Maoshu of Southwest Jiaotong University" at the source of the Yangtze River in Yanshiping, northern Tibet and the main peak of Tanggula at an altitude of 620 meters. From June 20th, 1985, for more than a month, he drifted across Tuotuo Heqin, Mysterious Island, Tongtianhe and Goya songs, and went straight to Jinsha River, where he struggled with death in the cold, snowstorm, violent wind and waves and fierce bears and wolves at minus 10℃. On the afternoon of July 24th, Yao Maoshu was unfortunately shipwrecked in Gu Xiang Village, Batang Township, Yushu County at the junction of Qinghai, Tibet and Sichuan provinces.

Yao Mao's heroic deeds of drifting on the Yangtze River for the first time greatly promoted the national spirit and patriotic sentiments and held high the banner of the pioneer of the times. 1986 65438+February * * Sichuan Provincial Committee ratified him as * * * party member; In the same month, the Ministry of Civil Affairs approved Yao Maoshu as "a revolutionary martyr who died heroically in scientific investigation and drifting exploration activities"; 1989, Yao Maoshu was named as one of the "Top Ten Young Elites in Bashu"; 1985, Yao Maoshu was named "Top Ten Young People in China".

After Yao Maoshu's sacrifice, a group of people with lofty ideals followed his footsteps on the road of "long drifting" and completed the whole drifting of the Yangtze River. In memory of this excellent son, Leshan people set up a statue of Yao Mao in Xiaogongzui, and then moved it to the Yangtze River market.
