The difference between cucumber and green melon, cucumber pictures

1. Difference between the two

Cucumber and cucumber are the same plant. The latter is just tender and not completely green in color, so they are distinguished. Usually, the former is longer and thinner, and the color is dark green, while the latter is thicker and shorter, and the color is turquoise. Beyond that, they also taste slightly different, but not that much. It should be noted that cucumbers cultivated in the south have fewer thorns, while those in the north have more thorns.

2. How to grow cucumbers

1. Light: Cucumber is a sun-neutral plant. There is no problem with long or short light. Its flower buds can be easily formed. Will not affect flowering and fruiting.

2. Temperature: Cucumber is a plant that likes warmth, but cannot tolerate cold. The temperature should be maintained between 25-32℃ during the day and 15-18℃ at night. The temperature difference between day and night should not exceed 15 ℃. If the temperature is too high, it will affect its photosynthesis, and if it is too low, it will freeze to death.

3. Watering: Cucumbers have a relatively large demand for water. The soil humidity should be maintained between 60% and 90%. It can be less during the seedling stage and less during the fruiting stage. Make sure you are well hydrated. In addition, it also has requirements for air humidity. If it is too low, it is not conducive to growth, and if it is too high, it is easy to get sick.

4. Fertilization: Cucumbers prefer fertilizer, but are not fertilizer-tolerant. When planting, apply sufficient base fertilizer and use decomposed organic fertilizers with an appropriate amount of superphosphate to provide sufficient nutrients.
