She went to Venezuela to perform a medical charity mission. Unfortunately, she died in a remote mountainous area. An unexpected traffic accident.

Emily's relics can be seen everywhere, including a dragonfly badge, which is her personal badge and is used to symbolize the birthmark on her shoulder. In addition, there were the little patients in the pediatric oncology ward when she was alive. Joe promised to take care of Emily while she went to Venezuela, but now they reminded Joe Darrow of his wife's voice and smile. To these kids, Joe Darrow wasn't a jaded trauma doctor; he was their "mily Joe." As some of the young patients experienced being brought back from the brink of death, Joe Darrow began to believe that Emily was trying to "communicate" with him from another world.
