Honorary presidents of China Photojournalism Society are Mu Qing (former president of Xinhua News Agency), Shao Huaze (president of People's Daily) and Xu Guangchun (vice minister of Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China). The consultants are Nan (vice president and editor-in-chief of Xinhua News Agency), Sun Zhongtong (president of the People's Liberation Army newspaper), Wang Chen (editor-in-chief of Guangming Daily), (president of Economic Daily) and (deputy director of the State Press and Publication Administration). The first president of China Photojournalism Society was Jiang Qisheng, a researcher at Xinhua News Agency. 1Since August, 1995, Fan Jingyi, editor-in-chief of People's Daily, member of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) and vice-chairman of the Education, Culture and Health Committee of the National People's Congress, has served as president. Entrusted by the president and approved by the board of directors, the legal representative is Hu Ying, executive vice president and secretary-general of Xinhua News Agency and researcher.
