How to set up Panasonic LX7

The maximum aperture of the LX7 is 1.4. The camera's automatic mode will automatically use a large aperture, which can easily cause the depth of field to be too shallow. You look weak and don't feel delicate. I also use LX7, I just set the aperture smaller.

The smaller the aperture, the larger the aperture value.

Panasonic's CMOS high sensitivity is not very good. It doesn't matter if it is ISO100-400 on a sunny day.

Do not exceed ISO 800 at night.

Remember the following concepts.

Shutter speed

Aperture

Sensitivity (ISO)

Use filling a pool with water as an analogy

Getting the correct exposure with your camera is like filling a pool with water. It is required that the water is filled exactly, no more and no less.

Shutter speed is like the time it takes for water to flow from a faucet.

Aperture is like the diameter of a faucet

ISO is like the size of a pool.

If ISO is fixed, the size of the pool is fixed.

Increasing the diameter of the faucet will reduce the time it takes for water to flow out.

That is, the aperture is one stop larger and the speed is one stop less.

As the water outlet time is increased, the diameter of the faucet will become smaller.

That is, as the shutter speed slows down, the aperture will decrease.

Raising the ISO is equivalent to reducing the pool.

The diameter of the faucet can be reduced, and the water discharging time can also be reduced.

Or the aperture can be reduced or the shutter speed can be faster.

Assuming it is a sunny day, adjust the ISO to 100. The shutter speed can be 1/250 and the aperture is 11.

At this time, you set the shutter to 1/125 (the shutter becomes slower) and set the aperture to 16 (the aperture becomes smaller) to get the same exposure. .

Having said so much, I wonder if I have made it clear?
