Thank you for loving me finale

The original ending of "Thank You for Loving Me" was that Yuwei gave birth to Huo Ran's child, named Little Sheep, and raised it with the monkey until he was about 2 years old. Yuwei was ready to marry the monkey. At that time, Zhihan passed away and Huo Ran came back. The monkey knew that Yuwei always loved Huo Ran. He could only help her when Huo Ran was away, but he could never replace Huo Ran, so he quit and went abroad. Yuwei and Huo Ran's family The family of three is reunited, and the last shot shows the three of them playing on the grass.

However, when the film was completed and submitted for review, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television believed that there was something wrong with the social orientation of having the first wife die and the third party having a child and then being reunited, so they decided to change it. There was no point in having a child. Birth, the ending was also changed to the most popular open ending. But the scene has been filmed and no new scenes can be shot, so we can only delete all the scenes with children, delete all the children's content in the dialogue, and then change some of the lines or narrations and dub them again, but The actors have already left and dubbing is also very troublesome. According to my observation, only the two sentences about miscarriage and Yuwei saying "best friend" to Huo Ran were changed later because it was necessary. So we are faced with two important problems:

1. Since the original ending was based on the reconciliation between Yuwei and Huo Ran, many lines have hints in this regard, as those who firmly believe in Huo Ran's ending say Said that although Yuwei didn't say anything, it was obvious that she loved Huo Ran. Everyone knew it, but she felt sorry for Hou Hou, so Hou Hou decided to go abroad. The long dialogue and crying between Hou Hou and Yuwei were all in Farewell, the ambiguous conversation between the two was actually comforting each other. Yuwei hoped that the monkey would understand that she would never forget him, and the monkey hoped that Yuwei would not feel guilty. The conversation between Hou Hou and Huo Ran was about entrustment. Huo Ran said thank you to Hou Ran, which meant thanking Hou Hou for taking care of his daughter for two years. This was a handover. Huo Ran asked the monkey "What should you do?", and Yin Zhihao asked the monkey "Can you really let it go?". It's obviously been decided. The most obvious thing is that Monkey started to say that he must not tell Yuwei about going abroad, but why did he say it later? Because he understood that Yuwei had already made a choice. It makes no sense to say that Yuwei was waiting for Hou Ran to come back. Hou Hou did not go abroad to learn photography. If the two of them did not separate, there would be no reason to go abroad. Everyone knew from the time Huo Ran left that there would be a day when he would come back. Yu Wei had already thought about it. It’s been so long and you don’t need to think about it for a few more years.

In order to make the ending balanced, we can only use the so-called ambiguous dialogue between Yuwei and Monkey to repeat it many times, even the narration of the ending scene. A lot of the dialogue between Yuwei and Huo Ran was also deleted. The sentence "best friend" was obviously changed later, and the mouth shape didn't match at all.

2. The last shot of the original ending was of three people playing on the grass, but the scene with the children had to be deleted, so the ending shot was gone and could not be reshot.

So in the end, I chose two shots of Huo Ran and Yu Wei working together as the ending. But this gives a hint of reconciliation between the two. Otherwise, how could two people who have gone through so many things work together without looking up every day? Even when Huo Ran was away, Yuwei didn't dare to go back to the source for fear of touching the memories of the past, so she chose to write a book. Why did she go back after Huo Ran came back? So the narrations were all about Yuwei and Monkey, giving the impression that Yuwei is thinking about Monkey every day.

Part of what I said above is my personal guess, but the ending of the original version is not controversial, as Zhao Wei and others have also said in interviews. I don't mean that everyone is drunk and I am alone. I just saw that everyone was having a heated discussion about who Yuwei was implying that the ending was with. I felt it was not worth it. I analyzed the process of how this ending came about to say that it There is no value for discussion at all. We have all been fooled by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, and so have the actors. Zhao Wei mentioned many times in interviews the hardships of filming with children. As a result, everything that was worked so hard to film was deleted in the end, leaving only a fragmented ending.
