Time flies so fast. It has been almost half a month since the start of classes at Chongqing Aorong Sunshine Elderly College, and the first and second batches of students are about to graduate.

The sun is shining brightly and the spring breeze is blowing. At 9:30 in the morning on March 28th, the Elders Academy specially invited a master-level teacher to give us an extraordinary class "Yi Xue and Art". This class made us deeply feel Seeing the charm of Chinese studies, we developed a strong interest in Yi Xue for the first time. At the same time, we also remembered the name of this master lecturer - Xiang Jilai.

Xiang Jilai, a native of Chongqing, holds a PhD from Beijing Normal University, a member of the China Photographers Association, the founder of Yixue Photography, the chief planner of the Belt and Road Initiative, the chief planner of the China Silk Road Culture Network, and the China Yixue Art Research Institute. Dean and Director of Yi Xue Photography Research Center.

Yixue originated from the study of "Book of Changes", referred to as Yixue. It is the crystallization of the thoughts and wisdom of the ancients and is known as the "source of the great road". The "Book of Changes" is the oldest, most systematic, and most profound classic of Chinese culture. It is the foundation of humanistic culture in China and even the world.

Teacher Xiang Jilai has a high reputation and many titles in Yi Xue. There is no doubt that he is an expert in this field. Special thanks to Aorong Sunshine Elderly College for inviting such a Chinese master to give lectures. We are deeply honored and benefited a lot.

At first impression, I feel that although Xiang Jilai is an expert, he is approachable and does not have the airs of a master at all. The impression deepened and I felt that the teacher's lectures were very humorous. It is not difficult to see from his lectures that he has a high and unique teaching level. ?

It can be said that many students, like me, have never heard an expert talk about the Yijing. Everyone has almost zero knowledge of this aspect, and some people only have a partial understanding of it at most. However, in less than two hours, Teacher Xiang allowed us to truly understand what it means to study the Yi Jing, and also let us understand how to cherish life and how to live, making a leap in rational understanding.

First of all, let’s start with the first sentence of the Tao Te Ching, “Tao can be taught, but it is not Tao. It can be named, but it is not famous.”

Say to Teacher: "Students, do you know? Tao can be said, but it is not the Tao we often talk about, but the Tao of heaven that is deified, human is transformed into earth, and earth is transformed into heaven. The Tao of heaven is a naturally formed Tao. Tao follows nature. , this nature and that nature, some are looking for benefit, some are looking for use, what they are looking for is benefit, what they are using is heaven."

Oh my God! If we hadn't heard Teacher Xiang explain it like this, we really wouldn't know how to answer the teacher's questions.

Let me tell you, Teacher Xiang, that the Book of Changes is the origin of Chinese culture, and ancient astronomy is the commanding heights of Chinese culture.

2. The Book of Changes - the source of the Great Way - talks about "three talents" "The Way;

Teacher Xiang also specially explained to us the Fuxi Bagua of "the Yin and Yang of heaven, the softness and strength of earth, the benevolence and righteousness of humanity", and gave examples and illustrations of the principles and diagrams of the Bagua formed by time and space.

Teacher Xiang said with emotion: "Life is nothing more than doing two things, one is to solve the problem of survival and life, and the other is to find a good home for one's soul. Win at the end! The first half of your life Do what you have to do and do what you want to do for the rest of your life. "What a wonderful performance to give a philosophical and passionate speech to the teacher!" The profound and insightful content deeply moved everyone present.

Yes! We are all Benqi people. How many things have we experienced in our lives? What did you ever want? What did you get? What more do you want in your old age? Although the past is hard to look back on, we should not forget our original intentions, pick up our hobbies today, do what we want to do to the extreme, and grow old gracefully. What's wrong with that? As the saying goes, be happy every day! Because everyone knows in their hearts that tomorrow or the accident don’t know which one will come first. In particular, the leaders of our team must cherish the friends around them, practice the ancient saying that "the right person will get more help, and the wrong person will get less help." Manage the team well, unite as one, and stay together for retirement.
