Xie Jin, a famous director, called Guo Liang "the pearl on Taihang Mountain", and Zhang Ding, a famous painter, called Guo Liang "the miracle of China". More than 40 films have been filmed here, such as The Bell of Liang Qing Temple, Beyond the Horizon, The Story of Unfortunate Uncle, war corner, Raise Your Hands, and Paradise Land. Guo Liang Village, on the edge of the cliff in Wan Xianshan Scenic Area, is known as the first film and television village in China.

Guo Liang Village was originally just an unknown mountain village in Taihang Mountain. In the 1970s and 1980s, Xie Jin and Shen Haofang made many films here, such as Liang Qing Temple Bell, Beyond the Horizon, War Corner and so on, which became famous in one fell swoop.
