Design professional certification is issued by China Business Federation. The professional qualification certificate of exhibition designer is divided into two categories: exhibition designer's professional qualification certificate (clothing) and exhibition designer's professional qualification certificate (decoration), which plays a normative role in evaluating and managing the qualification and benign development of employees in clothing exhibition design and home furnishing industry.

As early as 2003, the China Business Federation promulgated the Qualification Conditions for Commodity Exhibitors, which clearly stipulated the norms and standards for the occupation of commodity exhibitors.

In 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Commerce of China and the signing of the China Business Federation, the qualification of commodity exhibitors was officially included in the 2005 domestic trade industry standard plan of the Ministry of Commerce of China, which made the exhibition design industry enter a normal development track. As a result, China Business Federation's "Professional Certification of Exhibition Designers" officially became the only professional certificate of exhibition design issued by the state department.

The promulgation of this standard has defined the development direction of China's commodity display industry, standardized the professional standards of commodity display personnel, helped to establish and improve the professional function system of China's commodity display industry in the next stage, and provided a powerful supplement for more China enterprises and their brands to go abroad, rank among the top brands in the world, and promote the rapid and stable development of China's economy.
