Zhou Daming's Style Characteristics

In the long-term artistic practice, Zhou Daming has been exploring how to use light to create an environmental atmosphere and enhance the appeal of characters, thus forming his own characteristics in black-and-white film photography. For example, in the use of light, he often adds bright spots to characters or backgrounds according to the needs of the content, and sometimes makes most of the pictures in the dark with low illumination to achieve artistic effects. He uses few but fine lamps, even though the light path is clear and atmospheric, and the picture is clear and concise.

Zhou Daming is a decent man, honest and frank, simple and humble, with clear love and hate, and actively moves closer to the Party organization. He pursued light and progress all his life. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, in order to cover a meeting organized by the left wing, he followed Zheng, picked up a camera and a reflector, and pretended to make a movie outside the meeting place in Beixinjing, a suburb of Shanghai, until the meeting ended. Now, although he is 77 years old, he has been studying business knowledge tirelessly for the film industry of his motherland. At the same time, he guides the work of young and middle-aged comrades and often puts forward pertinent and practical suggestions and opinions, which are deeply respected by comrades in the factory and the photography team.
