The content of the competition is divided into seven categories and fourteen events, and each category is divided into two categories: single event and series:

1. Breaking important news (S&; GN)

2. Economic Science and Technology News (E&; TN)

3. Live Portraits of News Figures (PO)

4. Social life news

5. Culture and Art News (AEN)

6. Sports news

7. Nature and Environment News (NEN)

The competition will end on February 6, 2005. Late entries will not be accepted. The time indicated by the postmark on the envelope will be regarded as the submission time of the entry.

Awards: 1. Awards: 7 categories 14 items (each category is divided into single items and series). Each event has 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals; 1 The "Best Photojournalism Award of the Year" is awarded from various gold medals; Those with insufficient prizes can be vacant; In addition to the above, another 100 winners were selected.

2. Award: "Best Photojournalism Award of the Year": one trophy and one certificate, RMB 60,000; 1 Round-trip air tickets for domestic awards; Gold medal: one trophy and one certificate, RMB 10000 yuan; Silver Award and Bronze Award: one trophy and one certificate; Award: certificate 1 piece, works exhibited and included in the yearbook.

The final decision of the selection committee will be held in the international conference hall of Shenzhen Business Daily in Shenzhen, China in mid-March, 2005. At that time, a press conference will be held to announce the results of the competition and publish them on the website. Winners will be notified by phone, fax or email. After the results of the competition are announced, all the contestants will receive a thank-you letter and a complete list of winners.

Entry rules

1. Participants:

1, accepting photographers and photographers' works from news agencies, newspapers and magazines, photo agencies and various photography groups.

2. All contestants must fill in the registration form, and fill in the personal information and detailed description of the entries in the form. The application form must also have the signature of the contestant or the signature authorized by the contestant. When filling in the registration form, if the contestants have no employer, they must provide a letter of proof that can prove the photographer's professional identity or some official (including various photography groups) recognized documents and registration numbers.

3. The application form can be mailed. Please mark "no commercial value" on the package to avoid extra charges and customs delays.

4. The organizing committee of the contest has the right to use the contestants' works permanently and free of charge, and can reuse these pictures for publication and exhibition, and respect the contestants' right of signature in the process of using them.

5. The winning pictures may be published in the media when the competition results are announced, and will also be included in the works of China International Photojournalism Competition.

6. If the photos provided by some winners have quality problems, which may affect the publication and exhibition, the organizing committee has the right to request high-quality negative or positive copies. These duplicate negatives will be properly kept by the organizing Committee of Huasai.

7. Participants should ensure that they enjoy the copyright of the entries, and matters related to the portrait rights of the entries should be borne by the participants themselves.

8. If a third party makes a statement or is dissatisfied with the rights of people, buildings or other things reflected in the pictures, the participants shall bear all relevant responsibilities for the legal affairs that may be caused by the pictures.

9. Participants who don't follow the rules or meet the conditions in the entry form will be regarded as unqualified participants.

10. The entry rules and the terms in the application form are binding.

Second, the entry requirements:

1. A photo must be taken and published in 2004.

This set of photos must be completed in 2004 and published in newspapers, news agencies and photo agencies.

3. The pictures will not be returned to the contestants, and the organizing committee does not need to send a receipt.

4. Each contestant is limited to 6 single photos and series photos.

5. The series can contain at most 10 photos. In the series of pictures, each picture needs to be marked with classification code and sequence identification.

6. Black and white photos, color photos, front photos and digital photos are accepted in the competition. The positive film can be reproduced without providing the original.

7. The titles and descriptions of the photos of the competition should be provided in English for participants from countries outside China and in Chinese and English for participants from China. The title should be accurate and concise.

8. Photos: The specifications are 20cm×25cm( 10 inch), and all photos are not mounted.

9. Positive film: 35 mm, embedded in a solid frame to avoid touching and protect the film. In the upper right corner of the screen, black dots indicate which side to watch the movie from.

10, Digital Photography: The photos or positive films of digital photography must be marked enough to be taken with a digital camera. It is required to take unprocessed pictures, which are in JPG format and limited to more than 4 million pixels.

1 1. Composite photos, photos with multiple exposures and photos manually modified by computer technology are not accepted.

12. The works entered as a series of photos can no longer enter the competition of a single photo.

13. The names or identities of the contestants should not be marked on photos and positive films, but the classification code and the photo serial number and classification code used in the registration form should be clearly written. Each photo will be registered and numbered by the organizing committee of China International Photojournalism Competition.

14, the photos can't be rolled up, and the competition only accepts pictures without folding and wear.

15. The photos must be sent together with the completed and signed entry form (please indicate the specific contact information of the contestants), and the description of the photos must be in Chinese or English.

16 All pictures must indicate the country, place and time of shooting.

17. The jury's decision is considered final and no appeal will be accepted.
