How to shoot clearly in backlight?

The clear method of backlight shooting: fill the light with the reflector, turn on the HDR mode of the camera, set the exposure parameters, use the flash, use the side backlight as much as possible, and use it later.

1, reflector fill light

This is more common when taking wedding photos. Photographic assistants usually hold a big round plate. It is natural and gentle to fill the light with a reflector, because its light is very close to the light of the spot.

If there is no professional reflector, you can also find a white wall, or stand next to a person wearing white clothes, which can also play a certain role in filling the light.

2. Turn on the HDR mode of the camera.

In the last article, I told you that when you encounter some scenes in Gao Fancha, you can turn on the camera's HDR mode or automatic brightness optimization (dynamic D-Lighting). Generally speaking, HDR is suitable for taking still pictures of Gao Fancha. Automatic brightness optimization (dynamic D-Lighting) is more suitable for taking moving pictures of Gao Fancha.

3. Set the exposure parameters.

When shooting a portrait in backlight, you can turn on the portrait recognition function of the camera and then focus on the position of the face; Or set the metering mode to spot metering, and the metering point is placed at the face position; Exposure compensation can also be added, and the compensation gear can be selected according to the field backlight intensity.

However, this method can only ensure the normal exposure of the face, and the background behind it will turn white, so it is more suitable for high-light background.

Step 4 use a flash.

It is also a common method to fill the light with a flash, but the light of the flash is hard, and sometimes the photos taken will be very fake, and people will feel like P. At this time, we can widen the distance between the camera and the portrait and then reduce the intensity of the flash. We can also cover the flash with translucent paper or use a soft mask.

5. Try to use the side backlight.

You can change the shooting angle, try to use the side backlight, and then choose a lens with a longer focal length and a farther background, so as to reduce the background light entering the camera, darken the background to some extent, and reduce the light ratio of the face to the background.

6. Later use

Now the later stage is very powerful, but if you want to brighten the picture that is too dark, it will still affect the picture quality to a certain extent, so don't rely too much on the later stage.
