Besides Suofen, what other places are worth visiting in Liuzhou?

What is your first reaction when you mention Liuzhou?

Snail noodles? Industrial city? Or Liu Zongyuan?

To be honest, before I fell in love with snail noodles, Liuzhou was just a point on the map to me. The only memory I had about it was when Liu Zongyuan mentioned it when studying Chinese in high school, because "it will always be Due to the failure of the "Zhen Reform", Liu Zongyuan was demoted again and again, from Chang'an to Shaozhou, then to Yongzhou, and finally to Liuzhou, where he eventually died of illness. The world called it "Liu Liuzhou".

A few years ago, I accidentally tasted snail noodles in a small shop. I was immediately fascinated by its smelly and fragrant taste. In addition, there are always various posts on the Internet saying " "Snail noodles are the most authentic only from Liuzhou", which made my greedy heart full of longing for Liuzhou, always thinking that one day I must go and have a bowl of noodles.

Sure enough, this "Suo Fan Tour" did not disappoint me (click here to see Suo Fan). After becoming a fan, I discovered that there are many places worth visiting in Liuzhou. A friend happens to be going there soon, so I compiled it into a document and shared it with everyone. Because I was traveling alone with a child over two years old who needed to push a stroller, the scenic spots I visited were limited to the urban area of ??Liuzhou and not to the suburbs (to leave some suspense for next time). I will attach my route at the end of the article. arrange.

?I have personally been to each of the following attractions. The evaluation is subjective, please do not make any comments! If you have any better places to recommend, you are most welcome to leave a message! ?

There are two museums in Liuzhou, one is the Liuzhou Museum, which focuses on the national culture and history of Liuzhou; the other is the Liuzhou Industrial Museum, which is the first comprehensive industrial museum in the country.

First introduce the Liuzhou Museum. This museum is located in the city center and is very conveniently located. Although it is not big, the main body of the entire museum is only one building, but there are several exhibition halls distributed inside, including the "History Hall", "Ethnology Hall", "Bronze Hall", "Fan Calligraphy and Painting Hall", "Paleontology Hall" Fossil Museum" can be described as "a sparrow is small but has all the internal organs".

If you like paleontological fossils, or you have children at home who do, you will definitely be happy to come here. The paleontological fossils displayed in the Paleontological Fossil Museum are rich in types and span a long time span, from the earliest biological fossil group in Chengjiang in China (Cambrian 570 million years ago) to the Quaternary Liuzhou mammal fossils, and there are also related popular science videos. .

The main exhibition in the calligraphy and painting museum is the collection of more than 200 fine fan calligraphy and paintings from the Ming, Qing and modern times. Among them, I also found a fan inscribed by the Fourth Master. What do you think of the calligraphy of the Fourth Master? ?

The bronzes on display in the Bronze Museum are naturally bronzes. Although the collection is not large, all of them are exquisite. For example, this is a bronze ware from the Western Zhou Dynasty. The pattern engraved on the bronze is called "cloud and thunder pattern".

Liuzhou is also a multi-ethnic city, so the museum has special exhibition halls to introduce the architecture, clothing, embroidery, handicrafts and other folk crafts of several major ethnic groups such as Zhuang, Miao, Yao and Dong. There is also a Wind and Rain Bridge built in the museum, which is modeled after the most famous Wind and Rain Bridge in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County. If you are like me and cannot see the original thing, it would be a good idea to come here to see it.

Liuzhou Industrial Museum is a newly built museum that was only opened to the public in 2012. It is located in Yufeng District, slightly far from the city. But, believe me, it is definitely worth a special trip (and there are also attractions nearby that you can visit together).

On the day I went, it rarely rained and the sky was clear, which was perfect for taking pictures. The huge museum name at the door has a strong industrial feel.

An old-style steam locomotive is placed directly on the square outside the exhibition hall. The tall iron thing has bright colors and contrasts with the green trees behind it. It is very impressive when you take a photo.

There is a train carriage behind this locomotive. There is a 24-hour book bar in the carriage. If you come to visit, don’t forget to experience it.

The Industrial Museum comprehensively displays various physical objects and graphic materials from China’s development process from traditional handicrafts to modern industrial civilization in modern times. The largest “Industrial History Museum” uses two original It was renovated from a textile workshop on the first floor, and various industrial equipment and products are displayed inside. Many of the exhibits are so large that it is impossible to take photos from good angles with your mobile phone.

There is also an exhibition hall that restores historical scenes, where you can learn about the development of handicraft industry in modern times.

There is also an ecological and livable pavilion in the Industrial Museum, which displays Liuzhou’s process of controlling acid rain and rebuilding the ecological environment in recent decades. The outdoor park of the museum displays large-scale industrial exhibits such as diesel locomotives, loaders, hydraulic presses, etc. In addition, the surrounding buildings are all in factory style. The entire park has a strong industrial atmosphere, which can be said to be very hard-core. Yes, very suitable for taking pictures.

Although Liuzhou is an industrial city, it has a very long history. The birthplace of the ancient South Chinese people "Liujiang Man" is here, so Liuzhou also retains many ancient human cultural sites. In this part, I will share some of the historical attractions I have visited in Liuzhou city.

Highly recommended is Liuhou Park, which was built to commemorate Liu Zongyuan, who once served as the governor of Liuzhou. Baidu said it is the most famous scenic spot in Guangxi and the only national key park in Guangxi.

This park is located in the city center, just opposite the Liuzhou Museum. In the park, there are Liuhou Temple, Yiguanzhong, Luochi, Ganxiang Pavilion and other historical sites related to Liu Zongyuan, as well as curved bridges over clear water, pavilions and rockeries, lush vegetation and blooming flowers. It is a good place to relax and relax.

It is said that Liu Zongyuan often walked by Luochi during his lifetime. After his death, he told his subordinates in a dream that he would build his temple next to Luochi. This is of course the result of later generations. However, Xu Xiake, a great traveler of the Ming Dynasty, also made a special trip to Luochi when he visited Liuzhou. It can be seen that this place is a favorite place for literati of all ages (I am also arty~)

The Liuhou Temple is naturally an ancestral hall built in memory of Liu Zongyuan. Various cultural relics, calligraphy and paintings, and charts are displayed in the ancestral hall. Details It introduces Liu Zongyuan's life and deeds in detail. In addition to these conventional materials, the ancestral hall also displays more than 30 stone carvings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the most famous of which is the "Lizi Stele". Inscribed on the "Lizi Stele" are Han Yu's poems praising Liu Zongyuan, and the calligraphy It comes from Su Dongpo, so it is also called the "Three Unique Monuments". Friends who like calligraphy and stone carvings should not miss it.

Behind Liuhou Temple, in a quiet and elegant place surrounded by pines and cypresses, there is a tomb of Liu Zongyuan. It is said that after Liu Zongyuan passed away, his remains were transported back to Chang'an. The people of Liuzhou missed him, so they buried his clothes and crown at the place where his coffin was kept as a memorial.

It was the Qingming Festival when I went there, and someone laid flowers in front of the tomb in memory of this great poet.

I must have been a southerner in my previous life, but I like the South so much in this life. Green trees and flowers are good for the eyes and nourish the lungs, why not?

In addition to Liuhou Park, there are several places in Liuzhou that can be called historical attractions, including Dongmen Tower, Liudi, Confucian Temple and Xilai Ancient Temple, all of which can be visited in one sentence. If you have time and are on your way, you can visit this place. If you don’t have time, there is no need to make a special trip.

The East Gate Tower is located on the Liujiang River. From the south gate of Liuhou Park, go south along Wenhui Road. Less than 500 meters away, you can see the tall tower. It is said that this is the relatively complete Ming Dynasty city gate tower in Guangxi, and Guan Gong is enshrined on the tower. I just went to the riverside at night to watch the night view and walked down to the tower. Since I had children with me, I didn’t climb up specifically. Presumably, admiring the river view from the tower will make you feel even better, no matter day or night.

Confucian Temple, as the name suggests, is naturally a place to worship Confucius. The Confucian Temple in Liuzhou was built in the Tang Dynasty, and Liu Zongyuan also participated in the restoration of the Confucian Temple. However, the current Confucian Temple is definitely not the one restored by Liu Zongyuan back then, but the one rebuilt by the government ten years ago. Naturally, both the main body of the building and the surrounding vegetation are very new.

Today's Confucian Temple is located next to Panlongshan Park on the Liujiang River, across the river from the East Gate Tower. Looking at this majestic and brand-new Dacheng Hall, you should be able to imagine the scene inside. The long steps in front of the door successfully dispelled my desire to climb up and take a look.

It is said that the hundred-mile Liujiang River makes eighteen turns in Liuzhou. It can be seen from the map that the winding Liujiang River is as elegant as a ribbon. Xilai Ancient Temple is also on the Liujiang River, but in the west of Liuzhou. As you can see from the picture below, this is also a renovated temple. On the right side of the majestic Miaoyin Pavilion, part of its original appearance is still preserved.

The first and third floors of Miaoyin Pavilion are open to tourists during part of the time. An hour is more than enough to visit the entire temple. If you have no interest in the temple, there is no need to make a special trip because there are no other scenic spots to see around except Liujiang River.

There are really too many parks in Liuzhou. There are probably more than a dozen large and small. Among them, the most famous ones are Liuhou Park and Dalongtan Park.

The day before leaving Liuzhou happened to be the third day of the third lunar month, the Song Festival of the Zhuang people. I heard that there was an antiphonal singing activity in Dalongtan, so I excitedly took Qiqi there. Longtan Park is located in the south of the city, not far away, and the transportation is very convenient.

When you enter Dalongtan Park, you will completely forget that this is a park in an urban area. It is surrounded by mountains, with mirror-like green pools, green trees, and smoky smoke. It is said that Liu Zongyuan once prayed for rain here for the people. He wrote the "Rain Prayer in Lei Tang" handed down to the world. There are also various commemorative buildings in the park. In addition, among the lush vegetation, there are also villages of various ethnic minorities for tourists to visit.

The landscapes in Guangxi are very attractive. They are both steep and majestic in the north and gentle and affectionate in the south. In addition, the vegetation is lush and the water vapor is sufficient. When the sun shines, it gives a hazy feeling of steaming clouds and rosy clouds.

This Fengyu Bridge is also designed and built based on the Chengyang Fengyu Bridge in Sanjiang. It is a wood-like reinforced concrete covered bridge-style building with a unique shape and unique characteristics. Crossing the bridge, there is a nine-story square Dong drum tower on the right, which gives you a glimpse of the architectural characteristics of the Dong people.

These residential houses are naturally built for tourism, but they are well integrated with the natural environment. They are either close to mountains and rivers, perched high on cliffs, or scattered among lush forests. They have unique shapes and exquisite construction. , there are also some displays in the residences that can show the living characteristics of ethnic minorities, which can be used as a simple understanding.

Because the entire scenic spot is very large, except for the places where there are shops, which are more crowded with tourists, other places are relatively quiet, and all kinds of flowers are in full bloom. It is very suitable to arrange a day to stroll around, even just here. Breathing in the fresh air and temporarily forgetting the troubles in life is also a pleasant thing.

Liyufeng Scenic Area is also a combination of "mountain + water". The difference is that it is related to Liu Sanjie. Liu Sanjie is a Zhuang singer in folklore. She is smart, alert, and has a beautiful singing voice. She is called the "Song Fairy". It is said that she reached immortality by riding a carp in Xiaolongtan here in Liyu Peak.

When I was a child, watching Sister Liu’s CDs, I was particularly envious of her good voice. I wonder if all Zhuang people are particularly good at singing? The whole park was very lively, and you could see people singing and dancing everywhere. The whole park was very lively, and I even encountered a "duoge"! I stopped and listened for a while, but I didn’t understand a word. It wasn’t like it was in the movie at all!

There are two mountains in Liyufeng Scenic Area, Yufeng Mountain and Ma'an Mountain. There is a cable car between the two mountains. Because it is located in the urban area, it is said that you can overlook the entire Liuzhou when you climb to the top of the mountain. Interested friends can give it a try.

This part is also a "one-sentence attraction", there are not many worth recommending, it is for reference only.

Yaobu ??Ancient Town: It is said to be an "ancient town", but it is actually a man-made scenic spot located on the Liujiang River. It is similar to the man-made ancient towns in other cities in China, and even the items sold are probably similar. Maybe it will look better at night.

Genting Sightseeing: It is a sightseeing area set up on the top floor of Diwang Building, where you can see the night view of Liuzhou. In addition, there is also a high-altitude glass sightseeing plank that brave people can try. If you just want to see the night view, you might as well go to the riverside.

Night view of Liujiang River: The Liujiang River meanders through downtown Liuzhou, and the night view along the riverside is quite beautiful (the photos I took are only partial). There are also musical fountains to watch along the river, which is suitable for walking in the evening. If you have the habit of running in the morning, you may see a different Liuzhou.

If you want to go to the riverside to see the night view, you can walk south along the Five-Star Pedestrian Street to the riverside, enjoy the musical fountain, and then walk eastward along the river to the East Gate Tower. The lighting in this line is not very good.

The above is almost all the attractions I visited in Liuzhou. There may be some omissions (those omissions may not be important attractions). Among them, the two museums and the Liuzhou Museum are worth recommending. Night view of Hou Park, Dalongtan Park and Liujiang River.

Liuzhou is not a big city, and many scenic spots can be reached on foot, with distances no more than ten kilometers away.

If you have plenty of time and your companions are very capable, you can make a more compact arrangement and even go to suburban counties. After all, as a city where ethnic minorities live together, I think the most unique place in Liuzhou is probably In the suburbs!

I hope it can be helpful to you~
