Is it necessary for Nikon 18-55 to upgrade to 16-85?

Personally, I don't think it is necessary to change it to 16-85. If you have the money to upgrade moistureproof box, you may wish to pay attention to Longteng within 28-75F2.8 and 3000 yuan. I don't think your head has a zoom lens with a focal length of F2.8, which is very practical. It is not cost-effective to buy 16-85F3.5-5.6 at this time.

5. 16-85 is a half-frame machine, not a high-end one. It will be troublesome to upgrade completely in the future. I think you only have the head 18-55, and everything else can be used on the full-frame machine. Upgrade to full, let the hood hang at 5 100, when the time comes, full is the main force, and 5 100 is the backup. Or buy a dual-camera belt, hang two cameras, and the lens is all universal (28-75 is half width 18-55), which is very dazzling.

Other suggestions:

1, don't buy any brand zoom heads under 24mm, those heads are all designed for half-frame machines, and they won't be used in the future (let alone super wide angle, hehe)

Whether it is fixed focus or zoom, the equivalent viewing angle is because the negative area of half a camera is small, and less than half of the negative area of half a camera is used for framing. Of course, all four sides of the picture are wasted, and subjectively, the viewing angle is small, but in fact, only the imaging part in the middle of the lens group of the lens is used. Even the best full-length lens installed on the half camera can't play half the role. I wonder if I can make it clear. I was confused at first, too. I didn't understand, and I kept my mouth shut. Then I understood, and I knew why.

3, as long as there is no optical axis deviation, it is very easy to use, and the 18 end is equivalent to 28 viewing angles. Taking a group photo is not a problem, and wide-angle scenery is also ok. You should know that you use F8 or F 16 in group photos and landscape photos. You can usually use an aperture of 3.5 to 5.6. If you reduce the aperture to F8, the picture quality will be better. This is very, very good. Don't throw it away at will. At least save it for hanging up.
