The time during the day when you can shoot shadows.

Morning and noon.

Although shadow is a common light phenomenon in our life, it is easily overlooked by people.

We often say that we should cultivate our own photographic vision, but actually taking shadows is a very good practice subject.

Shooting shadows can not only exercise our observation, but also cultivate our photographic thinking. Every detail capture tests the photographer's composition thinking to some extent.

So, in our daily life, how should we shoot shadows?

After reading those shadow photos, I summed up the following five shooting skills:

1, choose the right time to shoot the shadow

Going out to shoot shadows requires sunny weather and good light. In this way, when the sun shines on things around us, it is easy to form a picture of contrast between light and dark, and there will be "shadows" that we see every day.

On the basis of fine weather, the best time to take pictures is usually around 8 am to 10 in the afternoon and after 15 in the afternoon.

These two periods are the time when the light is soft and the shadows are rich in length and shape, which is the best time to capture beautiful shadows.

Therefore, if you want to shoot the shadows in your daily life, it is necessary to choose a suitable shooting time, which can improve your film production rate to a certain extent.

2, the shadow of the picture framing should be simple.

As a virtual existence, shadow always brings a sense of interest to the picture when it appears in the lens.

When you want to include this interesting gesture of the shadow in the lens, the framing should be as simple and clear as possible, that is, to clarify the main position of the shadow and reduce the line of sight interference of other elements.

Usually, according to the projection of shadows, we can capture some projections on a relatively clean and simple projection surface (such as walls and floors? ) on the shadow.

Therefore, good framing can not only highlight the shadow theme of the picture, but also make the picture composition more vivid and interesting to a great extent, thus helping to attract the attention of the viewer.

3. Different forms of shadow presentation

I don't know if you have found this. Usually when you appreciate the shadow photos taken by others, the general picture will be like this. One is that there is only one shadow in the picture, and the other is that the shadow appears in the picture with the original things.

This also inspires us to capture shadows from these two forms in our daily shooting.
