The tensor processor independently developed is a highlight of Google Pixel 6 Pro. Judging from the paper parameters, its performance is quite strong. The CPU is 2+2+4 with 5nm process technology, including two 2.8GHz Cortex-X 1 very large cores. Even the just released Snapdragon's eighth generation processor only has 1 Cortex-X65438+. At the same time, there are 20 Mail-G78 M20 GPU cores, and the L2 frequency is pulled to 996MHz. GPU is also very powerful, but is it really so?
We tested the CPU performance of tensor processor with GeekBench5, and tested it six times. The best grades are single core 1035 and multi-core 2823. Single core is at the same level as Snapdragon 888, but the score of multi-core is too poor, which is similar to Snapdragon 865. What's even more outrageous is that in GeekBench5' s six CPU performance tests, the worst CPU score is only 437 points for single core and 2 132 points for multi-core.
The poor multi-core performance of the processor on Google Pixel 6 Pro is inseparable from the A76 architecture adopted by the tensor processor CPU core. Now the core of the flagship processor adopts A78 architecture, while you used A76 architecture two years ago. You really shouldn't.
What is the performance of GPU? In 3D Mark's 20 rounds of field life stress tests, the best score of Google Pixel 6 Pro is 6495, and the worst score is 2804. Moreover, with the increase of test times, the stress test results also showed a rapid decline trend, the stability was only 43.2%, and the frame rate FPS also decreased from the initial 50 to 10. Reflected in the actual game, the experience of the game will get worse with the extension of the game time.
In order to test the extreme performance of Pixel 6 Pro, we threw the mobile phone into the refrigerator to solve the heat dissipation problem of the mobile phone, and then started 20 rounds of field life stress tests. The final best cycle score is 6625, the lowest cycle score is 6285, and the stability is controlled at 94.9%.
It is undeniable that the GPU performance of Google Pixel 6 Pro self-developed tensor processor is really strong. The single-round test performance of 3D Mark in the field life is obviously better than that of Xiaolong 888/888+ processor, even better than Kirin 9000. Although it is really strong, the performance drops obviously after 20 rounds of pressure test. It is not difficult to see that the tensor processor developed by Google is very poorly tuned. Although there is a flagship, there is no flagship.
In order to verify the actual performance of Google Pixel 6 Pro, we also conducted a game test. Because the mobile phone only supports 60 frames of the glory of the king at most, there is no pressure in the actual experience. The FPS is kept in a straight line with a value of 60, and the CPU large core, middle core and small core are also continuously online.
However, in the 30-minute high-load Genshin Impact game test, the performance of Google Pixel 6 Pro is insufficient. When the highest picture quality and 60 frame rate mode are turned on, the average FPS is only 36, which can basically be maintained between 40 and 60 in the first 5 minutes, but then the FPS frame rate drops rapidly, even directly to more than 20 frames, and the game screen is also seriously stuck.
In the first five minutes, the CPU's large core frequency can still be maintained between 1.5Ghz-2.0Ghz, and the core and small core are basically online, but then, the large core frequency directly drops to around 1.0Ghz, and the core also fluctuates intermittently. After 25 minutes, the performance of the big core, the core and the small core all dropped to a very low state. It is not difficult to see that the tensor processor independently developed by Google cannot run under long-term high load.
The temperature of the mobile phone will also rise rapidly during the game, but with the decline of CPU performance, the body temperature will remain in a high state, but it will not continue to rise. It is worth mentioning that in this season, using Google Pixel 6 Pro every day, the mobile phone will continue to feel warm and can be used as a hand warmer in winter.

It is commendable that the ultra-wide angle and wide angle of Google Pixel 6 Pro can keep the same color temperature (domestic mobile phone manufacturers still can't keep the color temperature of different lenses consistent), and the over-zoom is smooth, but the color temperature of the picture taken by the telephoto lens above 4X has changed, which can't continue to be consistent with the main camera. However, the switching between different shots is very fast, and the smooth operation is very comfortable.
Shooting in 4X telephoto mode, Google Pixel 6 Pro can keep clear details, with good picture purity and clear and thorough appearance. However, when the digital zoom is as high as 20X, the picture quality is greatly reduced and the picture is blurred obviously.
In the backlight environment, the performance of Google Pixel 6 Pro is not so eye-catching. In the scene of strong backlight, there are basically no details on the backlight side, but in the case of backlight occlusion, some details of the backlit building can be maintained, but the imaging effect is still relatively general.
In the night highlight scene, Google Pixel 6 Pro suppresses highlights very well. Even in the scene where the contrast between light and dark is very strong, the bright area still has clear details, but it can maintain a certain clarity in the dark, but it will still find obvious noise. In other scenarios, the color temperature of Google Pixel 6 Pro will still be inaccurate. In a very dark environment, Google Pixel 6 Pro can't shoot a clear and bright picture, not to mention the details, and you can completely give up shooting.
Let's talk about the portrait blur effect of Google Pixel 6 Pro. There is still room for improvement. When some edge areas are blurred, there will still be tailing phenomenon, and the blur is not in place.
In addition, Google Pixel 6 Pro also brings the functions of panning and long exposure. Using panning mode to shoot dynamic moving objects can capture the defocusing effect and present a sense of motion. Long-term exposure can not only shoot the light trajectory, but also shoot the trajectory effect of the moving car. It is an interesting shooting game.

Android 12' s native system is very smooth and silky, but it lacks NFC and other functions (for example, although there is NFC, you can't use NFC to swipe your traffic card). In addition, although Google Pixel 6 Pro is a 5G mobile phone, it can't use 5G in China, only supports 4G, and telecom cards can't talk. As for the self-developed tensor processor used by Pixel 6 Pro, it has not reached the flagship level, and its performance can be described as "stretched".
