Do portrait photographers want to replace Canon SLR with Sony micro-single? what do you think?
I am a Canon user and used to be a Sony micro-single user. Experienced the process of changing from Canon to Sony micro-single, changing to Fuji micro-single, and then returning to Canon SLR. I can share my thoughts here.
I have used Canon's SLR for many years. Before I changed to Sony, I used 1 series Masan. Later, Sony's A7R2 micro-order was added for the same reason as everyone else. The weight is easy to carry, black technology is anti-shake, what you see is what you get, and the manual lens is convenient and flexible to use. These are the advantages of micro-single. It is unmatched by SLR. Plus Sony's urban cmos imaging is really good.
However, Sony's a7r2 has several big problems. Although it's a micro-single, it's from Quan Huafu, so the lens is not micro. Plus the zoom lens, the overall weight and SLR will not be much different. Plus Sony's color is lighter. Even in the original format. Later, I felt that I couldn't compare with Canon, so I didn't meet my expectations for micro-single. Later, I experienced Fuji and was attracted by its attractive colors, so I replaced Sony and entered Fuji XT2.
The color of Fuji is really attractive and strong. Printing jpg directly doesn't need P, and it can't be P, because it won't taste like Fuji later. However, Fuji Microfilm is a machine whose color is greater than the imaging quality, so her photos can't be enlarged by computer, and the smear feeling is a bit strong. This will be a bit unacceptable for me, a user who pursues image quality, and the color of Fuji is too strong, and sometimes I even think it is a bit too strong. I felt a little tired after reading too much, and finally I took out the Fuji micro-list. Return to the embrace of SLR.
But I don't think the above is the main reason why I gave up the micro-single and used the SLR again. The main reasons that really make me feel that micro-single is not as good as SLR are as follows.
Battery life, micro-single needs electricity for all work, including standby, and a day's shooting will definitely not last long without two or three batteries. Lying in moistureproof box usually consumes electricity. Many times I suddenly picked it up and found that the battery was dead. I have no worries about SLR at all. I can take it out anytime.
Operability, micro-single light, so the control must be sacrificed, and SLR was originally designed for photography, so all kinds of operations will be designed more smoothly, while SLR is heavy, and the pressure feels better, without the feeling of micro-single-headed and top-heavy.
The following is purely my personal opinion.
Anti-shake, what you see is what you get, touch screen, and black technology on these micro-sheets are not just what a photographer needs. All these functions only reduce the thinking time that photographers need to spend when taking pictures. As a photographer, you can achieve the basic anti-shake effect by practicing the basic skills of holding the camera and understanding the importance of a safe shutter. If you have a basic understanding of the exposure parameters, you can basically predict the shooting effect from the shutter and aperture, without relying on the WYSIWYG function. But for a camera, the response speed of the shutter, the real-time screen, the endurance of the machine, including the ability to shake at any time, and the convenience of adjusting the shooting parameters at any time during shooting, I think photography is just needed.
Maybe I will use the micro-single again one day, but I think what impressed me most about the micro-single is portability.
I used to be a Canon user, mainly taking portraits. Later, because I wanted to shoot a video, I started with Sony A7M3. Probably because of external influence, Sony is good and Sony video is powerful, I just consider starting the experience.
After using it myself, I feel that Sony's video function is really better than Canon's. Canon's 4K is charged at 1.7, C-Log. The upgrade does not support short boards such as high-definition video.
Sony has all the parameters in place, and its focusing speed and ability are faster than Canon's. Therefore, most people change Canon for Sony because Canon does not have a big upgrade in performance and is a little behind Sony in technology.
Canon is conservative, and every time the machine is upgraded, it is squeezed bit by bit in terms of parameters, while Sony is more radical and gives as much as it can.
I have some friends who play portrait photography They didn't completely switch to Sony. Generally choose double major, with Canon in your left hand and Sony in your right hand. I personally have Canon and Sony, and I don't intend to switch to Sony completely at present.
Because of the long-term use of Canon's SLR, I am used to Canon's shooting parameters. I prefer Canon's central control, mainly because I can quickly find the exposure combination parameters I want with Canon.
Personally, I don't like Sony's portrait color very much. Although it can be colored later, the intuitive feeling in the early stage is still not as good as Canon's.
Hello, everyone. Seeing this problem, I thought about it. What is the best answer? I hope my answer can bring you thinking, and I hope I can get God's love.
Let me briefly talk about my personal views. If you have different opinions, I hope you can correct your criticism.
Canon is squeezing parameters bit by bit compared with every upgraded radical machine, while Sony is radical and gives whatever it can. I have some friends who play portrait photography They didn't completely switch to Sony. Generally choose double major, with Canon in your left hand and Sony in your right hand. I personally have Canon and Sony, and I don't want to switch to Sony completely at present. Because I am used to Canon's SLR for a long time, I am used to Canon's shooting parameters. I prefer Canon in terms of control, mainly because I can quickly find the exposure combination parameters I want with Canon. Personally, I don't like Sony's portrait color very much. I just said that the color can be mixed in the early stage, but the intuitive feeling in the early stage is still not as good as Canon.
Therefore, both Canon SLR and Sony micro-single have their own advantages, and cooperation with each other is king.
The best equipment for portrait photography is Canon. Just taking pictures, if there is no video demand, of course, there is no need to buy Sony micro-orders.
The mobility, ease of use and the tone of shooting portraits of Canon SLR are obvious to all. When the white balance is set correctly and the exposure is accurate, it is completely acceptable to show the picture directly without retouching. Moreover, the Canon machine takes pictures of people's skin color, which is very popular with girls.
On the other hand, Sony has complicated control and poor usability. There is no original picture in the later period, which is terrible. The overall tone is gray, and the skin color is not well restored.
Canon lens groups are many, like human heads, from low to high, no less than 20. From 50 spittoons with a few hundred yuan to 220 spittoons with more than 30,000 yuan, people are like kings, and everything is available. There are many choices. Sony is much worse in this respect, the lens specifications are not many, and it is also expensive.
Without video, Canon is the first choice.
Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fuji and CSNFP machines have all been used. The overall experience is still in this order. Especially in color, C is more suitable for taking portraits, so it is not recommended that you change S.
When it comes to machine color reproduction, I think it is more reliable to take the truth of human skin color as the standard. Of all the systems, C is the most natural, slightly warmer and looks healthier. People should be the eternal subject in photography, so they should be represented by the most suitable equipment.
C, the color is warmer and the truth is restored.
S, the color is cyan.
NF, bright colors, high definition and the best scenery.
P, the color is blue, which looks more eye-catching. People in the industry say that its color is good, which depends on what kind of scene you use.
As for the operability of each system, each system has its own characteristics. How to configure it depends on your main purpose. From the perspective of balanced cost performance, I personally think C should be the first choice. Whether it is SLR or micro-single, C is doing well, and S is not cost-effective.
The following three pictures were taken by CSP for reference.
Specific problems should be analyzed in detail. In addition, you need to look at the Canon camera model you are currently using. Different models of cameras have different characteristics. You should at least explain what model of Canon camera you are currently using and what model of Sony micro-single you plan to replace. If it is an early model, you want to upgrade your camera, and you are interested in Sony micro-single, you can consider changing it directly to Sony micro-single. If you are currently using a high-end camera such as 5D3 or 5D4, it doesn't make much sense to change the camera.
If the subject asks about Canon and Sony cameras of the same level, then we can compare their advantages and disadvantages. As we all know, Canon SLR cameras can shoot people with good colors without wasting too much time in post-processing. But the fuselage is big and heavy, and you will definitely feel tired after taking it out for a long time. In contrast, it is not as light and compact as Sony Micro-Single. In recent years, the technology of micro-single is becoming more and more mature, and the camera accuracy, imaging quality, video shooting and other parameters are excellent. If it is only from the perspective of portability, I recommend Sony micro-single. However, color factors should also be considered. Without post-processing, I feel that the color of the photos taken by Sony micro-single is not as good as that of Canon.
However, there is still a problem, that is, after the camera is replaced, other lenses of your Canon will also be sold at present. Canon camera lens specifications are very comprehensive, and there are many segments to choose from. Re-purchasing all kinds of lenses needed for micro-single, the cost of this piece is not small. Sony micro-lens specifications are not too many, but the price is much more expensive than other brands, so we should take this into account. If it's not bad money, it's another matter. Unless you just change the machine, you can walk the world in the mirror like this.
If you are really entangled, you can directly start with a Sony micro-single, and Canon also keeps it. The two cameras are used alternately for a period of time, so you can compare and feel which camera is more suitable for your own use. If you find the one that suits you, you may lose a little bit of price difference if you shoot again, but in order to compare which camera is more suitable for you, you can only recognize it.
With the above requirements, and feel it is very necessary to change the model, then you can consider changing Sony, but you may have to give up a lot. You need to consider these losses:
Micro-single has the convenience of micro-single. SLR has a major in SLR. perform
First, there are reasons for change.
1. If the photographer is interested in photos. The pursuit of clarity and permeability is not so high. So in pursuit of portability. Concise. It also makes sense to change the SLR into a micro-single.
2. If you can, change it if you want. It's also good to be more knowledgeable after changing. It is for this reason that opening books is beneficial.
3. Different people. There are different pursuit directions for photography. No problem. There is no right or wrong. Change it if you want.
Second, photography has a pursuit of perfection. Of course, don't change the micro-order. Don't change, don't change.
1. SLR weight. Yes, the pursuit of photo transparency. Has an important role. Because the camera is heavy, holding it in your hand can effectively resist slight hand jitter. Have you found that many photographers add another one to the SLR camera? Battery box handle, its main function is to balance the weight. Although dry battery also has its function, compared with lithium battery, its function is very small. This is an experience. There is another example to prove the correctness of this experience. For example: a small village in the mountains. In and out of the village, you have to go through a narrow path on the cliff. Very dangerous. There is a heavy piece of wood at both ends of this path, which passers-by carry to match. Walking on this road increases safety.
My answer is very simple, it is called "nothing to do after dinner, go to wash coal."
However, Sony's micro-single is very good, but there are also many more brands of cameras. Today, other brands will have better products tomorrow. Isn't this the "equipment party"?
Whether you kill a door or buy a machine, you should always consider whether the camera in your hand is broken or has reached the point where you have to buy it. This is the reason.
It is normal to use that when the equipment is good. Speaking of it, it is actually Canon's sorrow that many users of Canon SLR give up his going to Sony Micro-single. It is also the division of the times. When 5D2 was released, many people dreamed of buying it, but now a large number of Canon users give up Canon, which is actually related to Canon's recent product marketing policy. Canon's main strategy is to balance and fully implement the whole product line.
Look at 5D4 released on 20 16. It is also the flagship of Canon SLR, but compared with Sony Nikon, it really can't be said to be very strong, but it is such a picture quality. At the end of 20 18, EOSR, which is known as a professional micro-order, was actually released. I thought Canon would take this opportunity to fight back. Unexpectedly, hehe, I continued to play with the 5D4 sensor, and the RF lens was very expensive. Moreover, only EOSR cameras can be used in the world, and even Canon's own SLR cannot be used. 5D4 itself has many shortcomings in design. Unexpectedly, this insufficient product continues to affect professional EOSR, and Canon's concept of balance permeates the product bit by bit.
2065438+February 2009, the shocking news of EOSRP came again. The shoulder screen was cancelled, the big turntable and rocker were cancelled, and 26 million sensors of 6D2 were used. The price of the machine was 20,000 yuan. The tolerance of 6D2 has been complained by more than N people, but it is not as good as 6D. However, Canon continues to confidently adopt the so-called balanced development idea, bringing EOSRP to everyone. Maybe Canon is thinking that there are too many fools and not enough liars.
It is obvious whether a device is good or not. Sony's rapid development is directly related to absorbing user feedback and improving product strategy. When Sony first positioned the A7M3 entry-level Quan Huafu micro-order, we saw sincerity and what entry-level was. Let's take a look at Canon's entry level. ...
Canon may say this because the deeper you love, the deeper you hate. In fact, he still hopes that Canon can come up with good machines and sincerity to continue to create myths. If we continue to adhere to the so-called balance and doll design, the road ahead will become more and more difficult.
