Chess Competition

The 2010 China (Nanjing) Chess Super Competition will be held in Nanjing Pukou Pearl Spring from October 19th to 30th. The competition organizing committee held a press conference today and stated that the world's top three Norwegian chess players Magnus Carlsen, Bulgarian chess player Veselin Topalov, and Indian chess player Viswanathan Anand will participate in the competition together.

The China (Nanjing) Chess Super Competition successfully joined the Grand Slam series in February last year, becoming the top global chess competition among the top five in the world and the number one in Asia.

This competition is the starting point for the five global chess Grand Slam tournaments. In addition to the top three chess masters in the world, the other three players are from China, which is ranked 16th in the world. Chess player Wang Yue, Azerbaijani chess player Uga Gasimov, ranked 26th in the world, and French chess player Etienne Bacrotte, ranked 28th in the world.

According to reports, the competition schedule lasts for 11 days, with a total prize of 250,000 euros, of which the first place prize is 80,000 euros. The competition will adopt a double round-robin format with 10 rounds.

During the competition, a chess cultural photography exhibition will also be held at the Pearl Spring, the venue of the competition, to present the wonderful moments of previous competitions and expand the popularity of chess among citizens
