What kinds of recording equipment are there?

1, tape recorder

Advantages: very convenient, generally bring your own wheat, you can adjust the direction. The recorder has two muzzles, corresponding to the left and right channels respectively. Also, the tape recorder can complete the basic tuning work.

Because the machine supports four-channel recording, it also means that you can open the recording of the external microphone and the internal recording of the tape recorder at the same time. Internal recording can be far away from the actors to record ambient sound, and the microphone can record clearer human voice.

Disadvantages: the machine is large, it is not easy to store wheat, and it consumes electricity quickly.

2. Pointing microphone

Advantages: This microphone is very sensitive to the sound in the direction it points to, but very insensitive to the sound in the direction it doesn't point to, so try to use this microphone when recording, point your head in the direction of the speaker, and try to get close to the speaking actor under the condition of not being lazy. Don't worry about losing reverberation or the sense of space of sound, which can be easily solved in the later stage.

Disadvantages: it is easy to wear in a narrow space, and the directional microphone requires high recording angle, slightly deviating from the direction, and the recording effect is greatly reduced. In addition, it needs to be used with a dial and a tape recorder, and the price will be slightly higher. And you need strong physical strength to lift the pole for support.

3. Collar microphone

Advantages: it can be very close to the mouth and can clearly record the voice of the character. You can choose this microphone when the microphone needs to match the action of the character. Take bees for example. One end of a bee is installed on a person, and the other end can be directly connected with a camera or other recording equipment.

Disadvantages: it is easy to rub and generate noise when moving, and bees have no directionality, so it is difficult to record the voices of more than two people at the same time.

In addition to the recording equipment mentioned above, we will encounter other equipment in the recording work, such as poles, windshields, monitor headphones, etc. The pole allows the directional microphone to record the best sound without piercing the heart. When in use, the interface wire must be evenly wound on the pole.

When you need to turn the microphone, hold your hands tightly and turn it with the strength of your wrist to avoid touching the interface line due to improper operation. These tiny touching sounds will be recorded.

Another thing to note is that when adjusting the lever length, you need to grasp the second half with one hand, and the other hand will break, lengthen or shorten the lever, and then lock it in the same way.

Extended data

Internal recording is recording by camera itself, which is simple and economical, but its shortcomings are obvious and the noise is very high. If we don't have high requirements for sound or the surrounding sound environment is pure, we can also solve it by noise reduction in the later stage, but if the sound environment of the shooting scene is more complicated, we can't basically deal with it at will.

External recording refers to recording with professional recording equipment. On the one hand, professional equipment has many controllable parameters, which can meet our requirements for sound in different environments; On the other hand, because the major is more expensive, external recording will increase the cost of manpower and financial resources, and it will take more time to align the sound and picture later.
